Add both to the long and ever growing list of ex-Crows players who have left the club and achieved premiership success elsewhere.Better or worse than not matching the Dangerfield deal and trading him first day of the trade period?
There is no way Stengle plays like he did if he stays in Adelaide.Getting rid of Stengle was one of the worst decisions the club has ever made.

Our club does lack leadership, I won't disagree with that.I thought our leaders were awesome? We certainly haven't made any meaningful change in that dept.
Hence "if". Sure it might have still been B.Crouch's idea or both of them agree but "if" that photo of Stengle was of cocaine doesn't it implies he had done that drug before so...B Crouch cost us Band 1, no-one else.
You actually think Stengle was the one with the idea to get the cocaine?
What about Richmond then?
I’m really happy for the guy, it’s good to see him realise his potential.
But there is no way that he would have performed anywhere near the level he has for Geelong if he was playing for us this year. Being back under Eddie and Anna’s wing, in the best side in the comp, working at Cameron and Hawkins’ feet, with the leadership and guidance of Selwood, Dangerfield, Hawkins, Smith, Guthrie, Duncan etc, clearly elevated his game to a level it never would have gotten to for us.
So yes, we should’ve kept him, but we aren’t missing out on a 50 goal per year forward that we could have had. I’d say he’d be much closer to a 25-30 goal season if he was with us.
Did you miss the part where I said we should’ve kept him?*, a 25-30 goal season.
Well * me, did the 3 amigos collectively get anywhere near 25 goals let alone 30 goals? Ah no.

I like how Stengle is an AA premiership player and we still have supporters rationalising Adelaide's decision. Good lord. Just take the damn L.
He's the quiet, shy type. Always really well behaved at club functions. I've heard this from my mates at the Eagles who have always fed me accurate information. They told me about Hayes going to Saints before it was announced too.You have seen Stengle in public settings/media appearances. Very sheepish and placid. I seriously doubt he is the instigator in any setting and unfortunately can be easily influenced.

You know who was a complete dickhead at Eagles club functions? James Rowe and his mates.
Each of the indiscretions occurred during the no training period. DUI was during covid shutdown, crouch coke purchase mad Monday/Tuesday and the plate photo published not long after.
What about B.Crouch? Nice country bloke isn't he, is he a recreational drug type? He's the quiet, shy type. Always really well behaved at club functions. I don't understand what this has to do with my post but in my personal experience, country people like to party. I've made a mess out of myself a few times trying to keep up with them. Usually ends up with me passed out on the lawn or garden bed somewhere. What about B.Crouch? Nice country bloke isn't he, is he a recreational drug type?
We all want to be right and say we called it correct, have you seen the Fogarty thread lol.I like how Stengle is an AA premiership player and we still have supporters rationalising Adelaide's decision. Good lord. Just take the damn L.
I called both wrong. I can admit it though. I don't just keep doubling down like some of the people on here.We all want to be right and say we called it correct, have you seen the Fogarty thread lol.
So you think it was B.Crouch decision despite nothing reported previously whereas Stengle has at least 2 incidents of cocaine use (provided the photo was of cocaine and a different scenario to the 1st).I don't understand what this has to do with my post but in my personal experience, country people like to party. Some on here said he would not get picked up at AFL level again lol. The guy was always going to be elite. He just needed support which the club wasn't willing to give him. The crows too easily ship a player off and keep good citizens like Mackay for 8 years passed his expiry date. No wonder we never win flags. We will likely see McHenry play 150 for the club.I like how Stengle is an AA premiership player and we still have supporters rationalising Adelaide's decision. Good lord. Just take the damn L.
