Umpires for tomorrow night's game

This would be my first thread starter on this board and sickingly it has to be a whinge. Something just then gave me the urge to have a look at the umpires for our game against Port.

I look at the list and we see Michael Avon, Jacob Mollison but have a guess who the 3rd umpire is.

That's right, it's our buddy Steve McBurney

I wish this was part of the card game and we can call bullshit on this but it's no ****ing joke sadly.

Now I'm expecting injustice tomorrow night and I'm none too happy

What a joke! clearly the AFL don't really care, surely we can say "hey we don't want this n00b to umpire another one of our games this year" and they would atleast help us out a bit....

I went along to see the Swans -v- Bulldogs game last weekend at Manuka - one of the 2 AFL games we'll get to see live here this year. Stevie boy was umpiring the game.

Would you believe it, McBurnem gave 9 frees in a row to the Doggies

In the same period, the dogs kicked 13 straight goals!!

Just goes to show he is consistently carp - not just against us. He also failed to report two incidents that were referred to the Tribunal (Lake got off the trip, but most other umps would have at least booked the player, and Welsh's act was a clear, reportable incident - so obvious he pled guilty and IMHO was lucky not to get more than 1 week).

McBurnem is easily the worst ump in the last 3 years - needs to shut his mouth, go back to the maggoos, and spend a year or two learning to watch the play instead of trying to be part of the game...

Just expect the game to be umpired completely differently in different quarters, bizarre decisions and non-decisions every time there's a contest, and you won't be surprised.

Seriously, that is a deadly mix. I hope they run into each other and get knocked out.

Well really I dunno what to say. We actually got a few free kicks tonight which is a first

Still I think I gave up on it after I wasn't exactly sure to what set of rules they were officiating by.

Ah well, not as bad as previous weeks but still very 3rd rate

I agree the holding te ball decisions were pathetic. Sonny should've had atleast another 2 shots at goal if they were paid and De Boer also. We did get some free kicks but still very poor umpiring imo.
