The AFL controls who they want to win the flag with umpiring instructions. They were ok for us to win it in 2017, we defied the odds in 2019 and 2020 and they absolutely DO NOT want us to win another one any time soon.
We are not going to win another flag soon...so why the lop-sided frees against us?!

Hawks play for frees. Umps need to be more switched on with the diving, ducking campaigners.
theyve only played mostly bottom sides

might fall off a cliff soon

Milking free's is a good part of contending. Grimes used to have a beautiful head sling that saved plenty of goals. 8 frees per game extra (Hawks) is literally 12-18 points as a head start depending on positioning.

So far we have had an umpire involved in brownlow betting , now one on the run for a 6million dollar theft , and the umpires are above reproach

Yup...eliminate over the top brutal tackles...so parents do not freak out their kids are getting physically smashed and reduce the fear of concussion issues...throw in The AFL Old Boy's Club equalization plan...no more GF's for sides that have won 3 out of 4 trys...and we have the AFL/Umpire free kick formula worked out!

Have they found that former senior umpire yet who's failed to show at court for alleged fraud?

Imagine being one of our supporters and

- living through 7-8 years in a row of highest negative free kick differentials

...and deeply thinking it all through, and coming to the conclusion "yeah the integrity of the system is 100% completely fine."

Poor Hopps got punished for this one

In the next 5 mins he didn’t get a high tackle called and got told to play on after a mark straight away despite not moving off his line

The umpiring was a disgrace.

Clear holding the ball decision on McGrath in the first minute of the game not paid directly in front of goals. Then they drew out a tackle on Hugo so they could pay holding the ball in front of goal for them.

Their first goal came from a bloke just dropping the ball as soon as he was tackled.

McIntosh 50m penalty though takes the cake… the stand rule is just so corrupt. McIntosh was moving away from the mark the whole time to go outside 5 yet because the dog umpire kept saying stand it was 50m. The player has the option to retreat so the AFL need a ****ing walloping over that one.

Mcintosh one was the worst one of the night and changed the course of momentum in the game. 5 points down and pressing and in the space of 10 seconds the maggots pay 50 that wasn’t there plus a free in the goal square to effectively swing the game the other way. Stand/outside 5 is such a corrupt rule. Just no common sense in it at all.

Poor old vlosssy taken out of the marking contest non free was a shocker as well

Unrealistic attempt not a rule anymore?

Someone mentioned on our MB game thread that if Hawthorn get 23 frees today, then they will have got as much frees as our whole 2024 season.
Just wow.
