Hi all, does anybody else think that Collingwood has flown under the radar this preseason?
With all the hype generated by Hall/Bulldogs, Stkilda and its problems and now Hawthorns injuries, I feel Collingwood has hardly rated a mention in the media.

This is a good thing, we are in the perfect position to win alot of football this year. Many say that with Cloke at CHF we cant win a flag, but as highlighted on the weekend, we have 8-12 blokes who can kick multiple goals, and as Geelong have proven, this may be the way to win premierships. I mean, how would Stkilda fare if riewoldt shredded his acl in round one??

Yes and No. Yes in they have bot talked up our Chances of Winning the Flag but No is with Ball and Jolly we are not 100% out of the News and Also them calling Cloke a Dobber

This under the rador crap is just that crap. We have to be mentally strong to win when we are the hunted and also win when we are hunting....

If we beat the dogs, Saints & hawks in the next 4 weeks we will be not flying under any radar!!!

The key is just to sat mentally strong no matter what the rest of league view you as.

I think you can thanks Carltoon for taking most of the media spotlight. Bulldogs rightly deserve the coverage they have got having been winning NC games and Lovett also deserves the attention.

If we beat the Western Bulldogs in round one you'll have to revisit you theory.:D:D

The question was under the radar this preseason, not what will happen in a months time.

In regards to the OP's question im not sure if its totally under the radar but the Bulldogs form and a couple other clubs issues has taken a lot of spotlight off our form. The fact is we lost 1 game by a point and won the rest quite easily.

To get the Bulldogs right now IMO is the best thing that could have happened. Everyone will expect the Dogs to win.

I think we have flown very much under the radar. The obvious hype has been the dogs, and deservedly so because of their NAB cup win and barry's influence (17 goals in 3 games). People have spoken about Ball and Jolly and the fact we could be a top four team, however they have not said much about our preseason...

1. Injury Free (all except Brad Dick are availiable)
2. We are 'technically' undefeated this preseason (had it not have been for super goeals we would have beaten the Saints and we have not lost since)
3. The amount of shots on goal we have had/inaccuracy this preseason - yet we have still won the games.

I'm tipping us to be 3-0 after round 3 and its at this point we will jump up in the market. ;)

If we go 3 for 3 they be having us a Flag Favourites

The betting odds definitely suggest that we have slipped under the radar.

Good sides win regardless of high or low expectations from the public or the media. Collingwood will eventually be in the spotlight at some stage, especially if we are a serious contender.

With very few injuries and a lot of depth we are right in the box seat, the only thing against us this season is our draw. Despite this, we should still finish top 4.

Bring it on!!!

Can't believe they have Hawthorn and Adelaide ahead of us for the flag in the betting. Wassup wit dat boyz?

I suppose we really have to beat the hawks, saints , cats and dogs to be taken seriously and this year we face them all twice....if we can match it with them then we will move in front of the hawks in the betting

Make like a crock pot and keep a lid on it. That'll do just fine, we don't need the hype.

I disagree.

Maybe the hype is what we need. We haven't been rated for years, even when we have been up there. We were premiership favourites last year for all of 5 minutes. We weren't even favourites in 1990 or any seasons since.

Take the f&*%ing lid off I say! We are going all the way this year. The footy world is going to know about it.

The only reason I can fathom as to why we have gone "under the radar" in the preseason is because we haven't been on the telly.
