Thank ****. COYG.

Mustafi is a gem, think we knew that though.

Perez looked good.

**** Ox and Theo Off FFS

v PSG.

Cech

Bellerin - Mustafi - Koscielny - Monreal
Xhaka - Cazorla
Perez - Ozil - Sanchez
Giroud

Three AMs will be very fluid.

Unfortunately our list is not a title winning one. Just not enough depth in class across the park

Cazorla is easily our most important player. He pulls the strings of the entire team

The two new boys looked pretty good in their first outing. Give em time and hopefully they will fit in nicely

I love Ozil to bits, don't get me wrong, but he floats around throughout games far too often, when he is off, he has a stinker. And his lack of confidence to shoot at goal does my head in. He will have space on the edge of the box but instead of pulling the trigger, he tries for the perfect pass through/over defenders. As a matter of fact, our whole squad does this. Yes beautiful football is nice to watch, but god all mighty test the keeper once in a while!

Yeah and we probably only had 3 or 4 in the league for the whole of last year, amazing stuff.

Only team to not have a penalty at home last year

Hopefully it was just eagerneas to impress but Mustafi seemed to have a lot of Vermaelen about him.

Overcommitted and pressed far too high at times. Even when he won the ball, it'd break to a Southampton player and there'd be heaps of space in behind.

That type of defending may work with Per but not with Kos.

Cazorla back to his form from two seasons ago. We really missed him last year, still the best option as a deep lying playmaker.

Hoping he retains his spot when Ramsey returns to the squad. Xhaka and Cazorla hopefully grow into a central partnership.

Coq was ok in patches, Xhaka hopefully comes straight in midweek. Not really much to add about Theo or Ox that hasnt been said countless times.

Mind boggling that they still get a game.

Yeah I agree. Quite a few times he sprinted into a contest he was no chance of effecting then had to run back into position. His chemistry with Kos will only get better though.

I mentioned it during the game, but the decision to rest both Sanchez and Xhaka was risky and borderline arrogant. Man management is great - but when you're 4 points from 9 to start the season your number one priority is winning league matches. Walcott and Ox together was, predictably, a disaster. If it wasn't for a piece of individual brilliance from Koscielny it would've been grim.

Also I'm not sure whether bringing Sanchez and Giroud on when desperate is the go-to. Sanchez is predictable at the best of times (get ball, run, ignore Monreal overlap, cut inside) and Giroud has a bad habit of bottling it and adding to the toxic atmosphere at that stage of the game. The penalty was fortunate if nothing else. We still clearly have many problems that the new signings can't exactly fix.

José Mourinho criticises players and Mark Clattenburg after derby loss

Mourinho already individually sniping his players in the media. He must really love being the villain.

Haha beautiful. United thoroughly outplayed on their own turf and Mourinho using the media to divert attention away from himself after a shoddy performance? Nothing new.

Thought City should've won 3-1 or 4-1 on the balance of play. Only Bravo's best Flappy-handski impression got them back into the game. Gaining 3 points on that lot this weekend is a win.

I think Perez got a bit of a wake up call. You're not in A Coruna anymore, you're at the Arsenal Football Club. He'll be right though.

Mustafi is f*cking quick! Two quick centre backs and two quick full backs! He's also a great passer (save for that first half blunder) and a superb tackler. Mustafi and Koscielny! After a few months working together, they be a Ramos-Varane/Hummels-Boateng-level partnership. Bosscielny was awesome last night too! Incredible goal!

Walcott, shit. Ox, shit. Ozil, meh game from him.

Bellerin, good. Cech, reasonably good. Iwobi, Giroud and Sanchez tried hard when they came on.

But ooooooh Santiiiiii Cazooooorla! You little beast. Verratti, Modric, Silva, eat your hearts out. Cazorla is the best small midfielder in the god damned world! Excellent, excellent match.

NB: I saw this floating around on the interwebz and had a good chuckle:
