Not having that performance.

Back four was pathetic. Played scared. Didn't contest duels and under hit pass after pass which was the only way City managed to get a shot on goal/score.

Can’t fault that performance. Its the little things. Mistakes by Tomi. The missed headers by Nketiah. Xhaka unusually slow in making his passes. Zinchenko holding onto it for too long at times. Trossard needed to come in earlier to run at them directly. Many passes didn’t even reach their target.

Fine margins. Arsenal paid the price tonight. Geez those extra 2 points from Brentford would be handy but I fear the impact of this loss will be far reaching.

Need Jesus back nketiah's good run is over.

How many ****ing times does saka get ****ing chopped and kicked a game...

This hurts. We will find out soon enough if we can get back on track or let man City cruise to the title. Next game is massive. I still have hope.... Maybe I'm just desperate.

The difference this morning was that we panicked. This squad is young and when you come up against the best in the business they didn't handle the pressure. Our squad is still thin. It's getting there, but there's still holes.

I didn't expect us to be in a title race in February. We've come a fair way since last year. Time to re-adjust expectations I reckon. Top 4 is still where we expected to be. We're not out of it yet, but barring City getting docked points, they'll be too strong for us imo.

The biggest mistake I made was getting my hopes up about a title, given this club I should have known better. Hard not to at 50 points from 19 games though.

All the defensive mistakes we're used to see from Arsenal have returned in recent games, City win 3-1 despite not really doing anything special.

Last 11 in the league vs City, played 11 lost 11 scored 4 conceded 29. Disgusting.

As admirable a job as Nketiah has done, the last few matches have really shown how much we meed Jesus. Wom 12 of the 14 league matches with him prior to his injury. Linked up so well with Martinelli and Xhaka. The influence of both of them has waned recently.

Would be great to have ESR. Not even on the bench again And very little information his latest setback. Worrying.

I'm mid 30s and just want to see another title in my lifetime.

I fear this seasons chance was as good as any, if you can't win it after getting 50 points from the first half of the season when can you ?

Even though we strengthened in January, yes all of a sudden this morning our squad was looking light on for options. When I looked at the bench there were 4 defenders and then only Trossard and Vieira (and Nelson to a lesser extent) who could come on to change the game.

That ESR absence really is telling. Don’t know what’s happened as I thought the surgery was to take the necessary corrective action, and he could’ve had a sustained run in the second half of the season. He’s a goal scorer too, perhaps we’d be looking at 6-8 goals from him.

I think we need an alternative to Xhaka at times, he was too slow to move the ball on at times this morning. ESR I feel can really impact in that position. Or Vieira even.

Goes without saying, Villa is a must win. Got to arrest this slide. I think White comes back in for Tomiyasu. Surely Trossard starts, has to. And would strongly consider Vieira for Xhaka however that’s likely too many changes at once, especially with no Partey.

ESR is in main training and has been for the past 2 weeks. I think they're taking the softly softly approach with him. Hopefully we see him off the bench soon.

Yes I heard he was training but the club is quite strategic in who they show in the training photos etc haha. He’s still so young and bodies mature and develop differently, what an option he’d be to have in the squad when fit.

There seems to be a pattern with Arsenal every freaking season. We can look almost unbeatable at times but there will come a point where it looks like we are absolutely clueless. It happened last season, then after a shocking three match spell, came roaring back only to **** it up for top four. Almost like clockwork.
