Why the hate for Bendtner? He is just a kid who has scored some big goals for us. I would only get rid of him if he causing problems in the squad.

I think we should just enjoy the fact we are in the Champions League again. Because lets face reality its only a matter of time before Cesc, Adebayor, Van persie, Hleb leave in search of Silverwear. We won't win Silverwear in the near future because Wenger hasn't changed with times and will just never spend any money.. Teams like Everton, Aston Villa nad Manchester city are closing the gap.. I will cherrish this 3rd place finish coz it's all down hill from her im afraid!

From "The Sun"

DAVID VILLA is ready to snub Chelsea and move to Arsenal.

The £20million-rated Valencia striker, 26, shot to the top of Avram Grant’s summer hitlist after netting 63 goals over the last three seasons.

Chelsea chief Grant is thought to have made contact over a move.

But Villa insists he would rather be a Gunner.

Villa said: “I watch the Premier League a lot and the team I’m most attracted to is definitely Arsenal.

“Their brilliant one and two-touch football and the whole style of rapid counter-attack which dominates the top level of the Premier League now is the one which suits my game best of all.

“I think I’m made to succeed in England but of course it’s one thing saying it and quite another getting there and then doing it.

“The Valencia president always told me he wouldn’t sell me until summer 2008. If an offer comes in I’m hungry to test myself in England.”

If Villa cannot agree a deal with Arsenal, his next option would be to join fellow Spain international Fernando Torres at Liverpool.

He added: “It’s great playing alongside Fernando. We understand each other totally and we get on brilliantly off the park.”

I would love to have him at the club.

Thats a load of crap.

The reason you guys left Highbury and moved to the Emirates was to get more cash, more funds to use in the transfer windows. You have only been there for not quite two years. In time, you will be able to spend this money while keeping a sum in the bank for a rainy day.

Provided you dont fall out of Champions League football within the next 2 years, 3rd place finishes will not be the pinnacle.

Unless Adebayor is going to move to another league his move will not be for silverware, it will be for a starting spot elsewhere, as he isnt really a starting striker for a big team YET. He could be, but not yet IMO

20 league goals would suggest otherwise champ. Adebayor would start for every club in the premiership bar maybe Chelsea but when Drogba leaves he would start thier aswell.

Some of his misses against AC Milan and Liverpool in the UCL were borderline criminal.

Plus a lot of your mids are at times against having a shot on goal, instead passing, passing, passing looking for someone else, which is quite often Adebayor.

I would still have a Rooney/Tevez partnership at United if we play two strikers. Liverpool seem content with the 4-2-3-1 that they play, giving freedom to Gerrard, and Torres >>>>>>>> Adebayor.

The rest of the teams will not win the Premiership/UCL in the next 5 years

David Villa to the Arsenal, eh? What do Cesc, Adebayor, RVP and Wenger think about that?

Shame it won't happen.

Pfft, Wenger's argument along the lines of - "I have faith in the depth of my strikers. Carlos Vela is coming back from loan, Nacer Barazite is coming through and Eduardo will return in December. That will leave us with seven quality strikers. Adding one more will give us an even bigger problem than we earlier had." Two days later, he signs the African striker we had on trial in January.

Villa would be awesome.

The more I think about it the more I hope we buy a star left winger as the no.1 priority though. Not only would it create more avenue to goal it would have the flow on effect of giving us quality depth in the middle of the park because Rosicky and Diaby could provide quality backup to Cesc and Flamini respectively instead of having to play out of position on the left always.

I really think Rosicky could take the next step if he was allowed freedom in the centre of the park.

We'd also be able to unleash Walcott on the right with Hleb switching between that position and in the hole behind Adebayor. Eboue wouldn't have to start but would be a good backup for Sagna.

Then I'd hope we'd buy a backup for Clichy and an Eduardo type finisher...but I really think a gun left winger should be our no.1 priority.

Do you guys all think Walcott should start every game?

Every match I've seen him in this year he's troubled defenders when he's running at them and his delivery seems to be now very good. IMO he's also got a big scope for improvement and could become a great RW for the Arse.

Anyone remember this comment from Adebayor:

The Togo striker is so convinced his side will go all the way this season, he has even bet his shirt on Arsene Wenger’s Young Guns lifting the Premier League crown.
Adebayor, 23, said: “If we don’t win it, I will take my shirt off and call Arsene Wenger.
“I’ll say ‘Boss, I want to stop playing football’ because I have a lot of ambition and part of my ambition is to win the title.
“As a player if you don’t have an ambition, I don’t know why you are playing or what you stand for.
“I have a lot of dreams and ambitions with Arsenal and I know they will come true
Looks like he's hanging up his boots then.
