I am going on a Top Deck tour first and then most likely two weeks in London flying solo, I want to see at least one game at The Emirates.

How did you get tickets Windy? And how much?
Game one was v Everton, carling cup, just went to the ticket booth. The bloke asked me where I'd like to sit, couldn't spit out North Bank quick enough. Second game was the 5-4 win @ shite hart lane, cost 2000 for 2 tickets !! Worth every cent. Got those tickets through a website prime tickets or hard to get tickets, or something like that. The wife nearly had a heart attack, but even she admits she would do it again, it blew her mind.
Make sure you visit The Arsenal Pub, it is an absolute classic, wall to wall Arsenal as you would expect. Can not wait to go again. London itself is brilliant.

at end of april, wenger said when asked about RvP's contract situation:

"That will be sorted at the end of the season. Yes, it will be before the Euros."

yesterday, gazidis stated:

"Robin sat down with us at the end of the season and we had a good discussion. What we agreed at that meeting was that we would keep all the discussions we had over the summer to ourselves and make announcements when it is the right time.
We have to respect the fact we have agreed to keep that among ourselves. Robin is clearly focused on the Euros at the moment and we wish him well, and at the right time we will make the right announcements. But at the moment we are not saying anything."

...he's gone.

One of my old man's work colleagues had mates who were members (don't know whether it was season ticket holders or just members of the club). Anyway, they just went online and bought them for us. Cost us about 150 quid for 3 seats. Sat right up the back of the Emirates, but it was still great.

In regards to finding tickets, I'd try and join up an Arsenal members forum or the like and see if they have a ticket exchange going on. I see some people on Twitter offer their ticket at selling price on the matchdays. If not, you'll see stalls around London selling tickets, albeit normally just to cup matches.

I really wanna see a league match, a cup match would be good as well, but a league match is my priority.

Arsenal are set to restructure their wage bill to help manager Arsene Wenger land "top talent" in the transfer window, according to club chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

The move comes with one of Arsenal's top earners, Robin Van Persie, who receives a reported £70,000 per week, holding negotiations over a new contract with the Gunners.

But fringe players such as Manuel Almunia and Marouane Chamakh are not far behind the star striker and earn weekly wages of between £50,000-£60,000-per-week, according to the Daily Mail.

Gazidis confirmed his intention to reshape the club's salary structure at an Arsenal Supporters Trust meeting and the Gunners are also expected to embark on a summer clear out in a bid to cut £23 million from the wage bill.

Gazidis said: "We have inefficiency of spending in our squad - but we are moving towards as efficient a model as possible.

"Our wage structure has been based around a flatter salary structure - that is part of a team ethos the manager develops, it's about interaction between players - not superstars.

"But we have looked at this carefully and we have to make adjustments for top talent. They are earning a lot of money and I don't think that will slow down. We have to adjust our model."

The Gunners have already signed a new striker in Lukas Podolski and Gazidis expects others to follow as they look to end a seven year trophy drought at the Emirates.

"That is what this summer is about and that is what we are focused on for next year," Gazidis said.

"We have a good team, we have a good young core of players and we need everybody involved to have belief so that we can push forward into next year and make a run at the Premier League trophy and for the Champions League."

Let's hope this isn't bullshit and it actually happnens!

I'll believe it when it happens. I think RvP is gone for sure sadly. Podolski is a talent don't get me wrong, but we need some big signings if we're gonna compete. It's kind of sad though, why not just go for some big signings and then RvP would probably stay. I don't blame these guys for leaving, we don't show much intent. Really have to win something this season, as nice as it is top get the CL spots each season, we haven't had success in a while.

agreed with everyone you've said mundy. RvP will go. all he is looking for is some intent and ambition from the club. for f*cks sake its not rocket science, we know what he wants and we know what the club needs. just make it happen gazidis/wenger.

chamakh and almunia earning comparable salary to RvP is so friggin ridiculous that it actually makes me laugh.

Does anybody know if we having a pre-season tournament like we did last year when we versed PSG and NYB? Also we seem to have a lot of pre-season games, and with euros on it will be a good chance to see which youngsters steps up and stakes a claim for a spot in the squad. Last year it was Frimpong and Coquelin and the year before it was Wilshere. My guess that this year it will be campbell, afobe, miyachi and maybe henderson. Ozyakup has left to some turkish club.

Yes read those comments. Wise words from the Swiss coach, djourou should listen. Let's get whatever we can for blokes like this

he looked okay as well in the 70 odd minutes that he played. good on him.

i dont always believe the mail, not the most reliable source (they were sprouting that m'vila was 99% done a couple of weeks back) but they are posting that giroud will be closed shortly. but i dont necessarily see this as a sign that RvP will be sold. what's wrong in having 2-3 decent strikers in your squad?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Giroud-close-Arsenal-move.html#ixzz1xZ4B3Yl3

If giroud does come, i would play RVP is front of him as giroud makes a lot of smart runs and RVP would find him with ease.

Also unless barca and real show a lot of interest in RVP he won't be going anywhere.

there's persistent rumours suggesting juve are in the mix too along with city. so i dont believe real/barca are front runners. obviously we will have to wait and see as the euros just started, so will still be a couple of weeks away at the earliest before an outcome is known
