Yeah he trialled, obviously Man City/Milan are willing to pay more and are probably more attractive trophy-wise than ourselves currently.

I read a thread on a city site starting around this time last season when we were linked with him. He was valued about £10m then as a 16 year old. Apparently he hasn't been as good this past season, and there was a post saying his contract had actually been cancelled by Caen.
So not sure what's gone on there, but lots of things can go wrong in the careers of young kids. Maybe he hasn't come on as expected.
From what I have read he is cheaper because his team got relegated.

Hope we sell him abroad. I'd take like 10m less for him to be sold abroad than to a rival in the PL. City will get him I think.
A lot depends on tevez/dzeko I reckon. If one of them are sold, then you'd think city will move in or RvP

yeah agreed castro, not sure how true that rumour is. a) i dont think chelsea would be stupid enough to bid that much, and b) surely we wouldnt be stupid enough to reject it

Theo's a likable guy windy, obviously at his best he's a pretty good footballer. But he hasn't been able I string it together for any significant periods of time despite being at the club for 6-7 years. Injuries have played a part yes, but he's been terribly inconsistent. If rumors are true that he's become disillusioned with club over the RvP situation, and he wants £100k a week, then the time surely has come to cash in if a good offer is on the table for him.
Whether or not we use anyway of that money to buy other players is a whole other story. Same with RvP. Knowing arsenal, we may just pocket that money again as cover for the fees for Podolski/giroud
