Correct, it commences on July 1. So why would they sell him now? Unless we get near that, they're under no pressure at all to contemplate selling such an asset.

Seems more like someone leaked the opening bid from Arsenal and neglected to mention the opening response from Schalke was 70mill, with negotiations having moved on much since then.

I expect the next thing we will hear is that Gnabry was offered or demanded as part of the price, and it's "likely to happen"

Why do people believe we actually make bids for players? We make enquires then once we agree a fee we lodge an official bid. Suarez the exception to that.

John Cross is persisting with the Morata loan deal rumors. Says we're still trying to seal Draxler but perhaps a pre summer agreement is more likely.

happy with the results this morning, city/spuds draw would have been better but watching tottenham embarrassed at home is always something to smile at

"Sources in Germany claim that a £36 million fee between Arsenal and Schalke has been provisionally agreed for Draxler. The structure of the deal and the scheduling of different payments, including how much the Gunners would pay up front, has been a sticking point."

"Wenger is also interested in signing 22-year-old Tello on loan from Barcelona for the rest of the season to give Arsenal more attacking options and pace."

"Reserve goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski may be allowed to join Schalke as part of a deal for Draxler. The Pole has already been lined up as a summer signing by the Bundesliga club, with his contract ending in the summer.
Lukas Podolski is to seek talks over his future after becoming frustrated at spending too much time on the substitutes bench."

You just really never know do you. I mean where do they get the figures from. This is what gobsmacks me the most.

Anyway, would love Draxler to come now and Vucinic seems like not a bad option for 6 months.

Sky & BBC are usually pretty credible.

John Cross usually knows his Arsenal stuff but he's also been wrong many times before. His latest update though says Draxler will actually return from injury next week, as will Rosicky. Interesting reference to Fabianksi going the other way.

Cross knows **** all about our transfer dealings and if I had to take a guess is fed bullshit by our media team to make it look like we are working on deals. But by continually being fed bullshit we occasionally give him a scoop such as the Puma news which he was the first to break or injury news. Essentially he is our Guinea pig.

Haha, last edited 15 minutes ago.

"Julian Draxler has 1 brother named Miggy Perez, they live together in Germany. Julian Draxler is also fond of the Facebook group named "The Arsenal Insider" Hopefully Draxler will join Arsenal."

I wonder where wiki stands in that credibility graph above...
