We had a month to sign a striker. And nothing. Leaving our approach for Klose until the final few hours was of course never going to work, just like with Ba on August 31 last year.

Understatedly, our attention turned to midfield given the Flamini/Ramsey/Wilshere situation. But we signed and injured player to replace injured players, and join Diaby in our rehab room.

Head scratching is an understatement.
