Who would you get to replace Walcott and Ramsey, who are realistic and affordable targets assuming we sold both.
I'm not trying to create an argument and I actually agree somewhat, just trying to think who we could get to replace them.

Multiple sources report we've agreed a £35 million deal for Isco. He plays RCM in Madrid's 4-3-3 and would be a very capable CM or RM for us.

Otherwise Bellerabi from Leverkusen is another potential signing, while Reus would be a dream signing.

Isco would be the perfect long term Cazorla replacement. Not buying any rumours at this stage of the season though

Proper strikers are hard to find for obvious reasons, but right wingers and CMs good enough for the job are a lot easier to find and buy in the July window

Isco and Reus.

Ozil looked a frustrated figure last night play with technically inept teammates, if we don't win the league I think he pushes for a transfer in the summer.

This game continued to show there's nothing wrong with Giroud - the players we actually need to upgrade on are Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain, and Ramsey.

Not only was Giroud great last night, look at the difference between our attacking subs - Welbeck came on, and was immediately threatening, forging several openings and pushing the Barcelona defence with his physicality and his speed. Walcott came on and disappeared.

Not saying he's our main concern as a lot of players are a lot worse than him in our squad but we could still do with a superior centre CF, he's now 0 in his last 8 in which we failed to score in 5 of those games.

Isco? Has it been in any reputable source? Given the time of year, and that there's very few actually reputable sources that report on Arsenal transfers, I wouldn't believe anything.

It took one of the best saves I've ever seen to keep him out against Leicester, and ter Stegen had to produce another great save to prevent opening the scoring yesterday.

I know I'm talking in hypotheticals, but very easily his goal tally in those games could be more. It's all what if I guess. But point being he's not really the core issue anymore.

Strikers can't score every game (Messi etc aside). If Ramsey could finish, or Ox doesn't meekly tap the ball straight at the keeper lying down, or if Sanchez finds the back of the net again, then no one really notices Giroud has 0 from 8.

Instead, the conversation would turn into praising the other forwards/mids for their contributions of goals, and how the spreading the goals around has eased the pressure off the front man.

But their failures aren't Giroud's failures.

Add to the fact his crucial assist for Walcott against Leicester. I think he's had three assists in last 5 games from memory.

Giroud has done fine the past 2-3 games.

But we really need him to start chipping in with goals while the rest of our midfield seem unable to.

Ox had scans and left the place strapped and on crutches. He's gone for a while you'd think. Still no word on Ramsey though.

Can anyone confirm the 'ox out for the rest of the season' rumor?
Apparently copped two injuries during the barca game.

I agree, if he respects the fulfilment of his outstanding potential, he won't waste another season at a club who simply can't be competitive on a European scale.

If Dybala gets poached, I can see Özil fitting well into Juve's system. Only problem for them is meeting his substantial market price - we aren't going to sell at a loss.
