Using Johnson to get Pavlich!

With Johnson looking to return to Melbourne, most likely to Richmond or Carlton, we are in a position to demand high first-round draft picks, as both clubs finished low on the ladder. These high draft picks could be the link to getting Matthew Pavlich!
By drafting a highly acclaimed Western Australian young gun high in the draft, he can be used in a future deal with Freo to get Pavlich back where he belongs: The Mighty Adelaide Crows!
We have only seen the beggining of the Pavlich phenomenon, he is going to be one special player- just look his game turning second-half against Ireland!
I know it's high risk but what does evryone think?

Personally, I think we have to recruit the right type of player for the AFC. If we get a high draft pick then we should be looking at the player from the 10+ years he can deliver to our club, not as future trade bait for Pav.

BTW, I haven't watch the IR game yet, but personally, I don't see what the fuss is about with Pavlich. MUCHO overrated. Freo can ave him.

Pavlich made his decision to stay in Freo a few months ago, so I can't see him changing his mind. Remember he just won their B&F & I can't see Freo trading him, even if it meant getting Headland (in a 3/4-way deal say). We're getting Carey, so having Pav too would be a little gready I suppose...

Long term planning is about the only way we will entice the dockers to part with the Pav who will one day prove to be a top 10 afl player,

Pavlich would be the last person we would trade. He is the only player on our list I wouldn't trade for any other player.

I good idea Jarmaniac, however unlike our good selves and Kane Johnson, Fremantle don't have to twist Pav's arm to stay in Perth. He actually enjoys it there. I would be very suprised if he ever leaves Perth - he will be captain in a few years.

I have to agree Napsyd, I have always said I am yet to be convinced.

In all seriousness, I've just never seen him play a game that makes me think he's the next best thing. Probably seen 15 or so of his matches over the years.
