AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Good thread, I was thinking the same thing.
I think it's a tough one because there is no way in hell McGlynn should get dropped. He looks like Marc Murphy but tougher - I love this kid.
Vandenberg should come in for Clarke who is a joke. I know your going to all give it to me, but I want him off our list. He doesn't even make a contest anymore, he is a joke.
Croad has to come in for Dawson. Jacobs in for someone although I thought Gilham was great and who the hell was number 34 I liked him???
Dixon and Boyle about the same although I think we should put some time into Boyle for what we saw tonight. You also forgot Smith, who is another on the outer.
Bateman disappointed me tonight, although it's not really surprising. Our young talent is so superior that some of these middle of the road players we have are being found out.
By the way Muston has to stay in. You might think I am kidding but he looked like Judd did in his first game
A class act.
Bateman disappointed me tonight.
Lol. Don't agree with you there - One of our most consistent players last year, he goes hard all day. 15 Disposals is good enough for me - More than Mitchell and Franklin and equal with McGlynn. Great tagger also!Good thread, I was thinking the same thing.

Knew I was forgetting someone.....so much talent in these 6 guys...You also forgot Smith, who is another on the outer..
COULDN'T DISAGREE MORE!!! 18 Disposals, 9 Marks and 3 tackles says otherwise.Bateman disappointed me tonight, although it's not really surprising. Our young talent is so superior that some of these middle of the road players we have are being found out.
What a debut, very promising and what a SUPER GOAL!By the way Muston has to stay in. You might think I am kidding but he looked like Judd did in his first game.
I don't think you really watched the game properly. Did you go? I went, and it seems every time I turned around Changa was charging thru the middle like a bull at a gate, taking possession, and linking defense to attack like a champion. Disposal let him down a little, but it's the 1st game of the year, and that'll improve for sure. Was in our best, no question.
(even the HFC website thought so)

This is what I hope the line-up will be next week:
B: ??? Gilham Guerra
HB: Sewell Renouf Birchall
C: Bateman Lewis Crawford
HF: Franklin Roughead Muston
F: Williams Boyle McGlynn
Foll: Campbell Hodge Mitchell
Int: Taylor Vandenberg Clarke Tuck Little Young
Emerg:
IN: Vandenberg, Tuck
OUT: Ladson (inj), Dawson, Brown (susp)
I was very impressed with Gilham and am prepared to cement him into FB for the season. He was very accountable today in keeping Miller to a few possessions. Dawson just isn't up to AFL level.
Tuck deserves a run in my opinion.
I think they should let Muston settle into a wing, HFF position where he can be damaging with his thumping kick.
McGlynn deserves another go after 2 goals and 15 possessions.
Renouf showed that he candle KP in the backline much better than Dawson.
Boyle is on thin ice IMO but he does provide a contest. Lets hope he snags a few goals next week.
On the leadup to the season I think Jacobs should replace Guerra and Croad replace Renouf who will battle with Taylor for backup ruck. Dixon to probabaly replace McGlynn or Muston. Smith to get a go on the bench and Osborne fighting for a place on the team.
Looking the goods

Browny ain't playing next week, or the next few after that either.
I was disappointed in Changas game also. Ho got it a lot but his disposal was terrible (I'm a fan of his btw). He missed a few goals in the third that should have been kicked and both times the Dees got one straight away at the other end (Green 9 pointer was one). This really put us under the pump as we fell behind about 25 points at that stage (from memory). I like his hard running but he really needs to clean the skills up. We have been hearing for a few years now from the coaching staff about how they are only going to draft and play players who can execute their skills efficiently. I still think we have some way to go.
Explain?
Big elbow to the side of the Demons players cranium!
.
Gilham for full-back. Vanders was struggling to run laps this morning.
