Yes, saw him once.
Up until the last 5min that was a MUCH better quarter.
Browne - good. Ran with the ball. Kicked long. Wish he had hit a couple of targets when the game opened up.
Ryan - I'm a sceptic, but he shows willingness and aptitude in one-on-one defending, I reckon. Give him that.
Steene - better.
Smit - barely sighted. Wish they'd give him more time in the ruck.
Mason - easily beaten in a few marking contests today.
TJ - He has a high ceiling, but hasn't hit enough targets today.
DeMattia - Less prominent, but still did a couple of nice things.
Dean & Glover - marked the ball well and have been pretty sharp kicking out of D50.

I see Harry has 10 disposals to 3QT. He aint making it guys.
Tend to agree, but then when he was onball in Q2 he got first hands on the pill repeatedly. So would like to see him given a go in the middle before we put a line through his name.

Was expecting a 5 goal loss given our outs but this should be a lot more than 45 points. We’ve been outplayed quite significantly.

TJ - got the ball OK, but used it poorly.
Browne - another one who burned the ball too often. Showed a bit, all the same.
DeMattia - OK when onball; unsighted otherwise
Smit - Pretty good in ruck. Needs more ruck minutes tho.
Steene - More involved in Q3, but I wish he took fewer ruck minutes. I just don't think he has much scope there.
Parker - didn't see him in the second half. Injured?

Hayes - barely seen. Leg heavily strapped.
Riley Mason - disappointing today. Granted we kicked the ball poorly going forward, but he didn't provide much of a target.
From an AFL perspective, TJ is the one with the most scope. If I squint, I can see potential in Smit. Liked Parker last year, but has been underwhelming so far this season.

Our vfl team is often excruciating to watch, basic basic skill errors constantly, no one can mark or kick under any pressure. Umpires are desperate to be the main attraction and try to blow their whistle every 15 seconds.

I feel like we took the piss with the VFL this weekend. With all the players we rested we’d be making 3 or 4 changes for Freo.

Thought their afl experience let them dominate behind the footy, just couldn’t penetrate and they were constantly pumping the ball forward. By the same token, not too much went right for us. Lots of contested situations where the footy bubbled out to a loose Doggies player which likely reflects them holding better structures around those contests.
