No you are not missing anything.

Prismall could be a 200game player, and with Selwood, he represents the core of our midfield in 5 years time. That is if he doesn't smarten up and leave the club due to lack of opportunity.

Prismall MUST replace byrnes this week, i dont need to go over why because it has been the most discussed topic over the passed months on these boards.

I saw the vfl today, his performance was one of the most dominating BOG'S ive seen in a while. Was unstopable in the midfield for the first three quaters, then had a break up forward in the last and kicked 3.

I liked Varcoe's game in the VFL today. He played a lot further up the ground than he did in the seniors last season, and tended to create a lot of options through the middle, and his disposal was generally pretty good too. Probably has Stokes and Gamble still ahead of him at this stage, but if he keeps playing like he did today, he'll be knocking on the door of the seniors again before long.

I think if we've learnt anything by now it's that it doesn't matter how well Prismall plays in the VFL because the selection decision must be based on other factors.

Unless a midfielder doesn't come up for the match, I expect Prismall to dominate in the VFL again next week.

If Gamble is right, he could replace Byrnes. I thought we missed another leading option today.

Does anyone think he is a chance for a rookie listing next year?

If Byrnes in not replaced next week there's something very fishy going on at the club. I can't think of any reason why he'd be holding his place in the side. Like I've said in another thread, you can't play a guy just because he's fast, can you??

Frankly I couldn't give a hoot whether Nathan returns or not. Hawkins represents better short and long term value IMHO. And if Prisa isn't included next week, Bomber should explain why.

Another player who impressed me in the VFL side was big Dawson Simpson. Saw him in the intra-club, and he looked very lethargic and not mobile enough for my liking. Today he was totally different. Once he charged off the bench and ran flat out to reach a boundary throw-in under the scoreboard down the Ablett terrace end, and he nearly ran down a midfielder in a similar effort to Ottens' chase on Pettigrew in the grand final last year. His work in the ruck was pretty handy too.

He played.

Went alright, although Cheep was definitely the stand out VFL listed player.

I think the only reason Byrnes keeps getting a game is because he has some very embarrassing photos of Thompson in his possession, and has threatened to go public with them if he's dropped.
