POTY

5. Thompson - we have to keep this hard nut from going to the Gold Coast. Much rather see Bock go than Thommo who was at his very best last night both winning the hard ball for the clearances or his work around the ground. Easily our best player on the night.

4. Tippett - right back to his very best with 6 goals, some from strong marks, others from ground work that a 168 cm rover would be proud of. Absolute gun and the lynch pin of our forward line for the years to come.

3. Reilly - would all Reilly knockers say 20 times, "I have been unfair to this guy". He has blossomed as a run with player this year, once again keeping his opponent (Jobe Watson this week) down to less disposals than he had himself. Well done Brent. :thumbsu:

2. Douglas - little Dougie. You have to love him. It's been a bad years for knockers as the Douglas knockers have had to shut up and stick their heads up their backsides, with Douglas turning in top game after top game this year, and yet another one last night Just goes to show what a player played in his correct position can do, eh Neil?? :)

1. van Berlo - huge work rate and courage from the future skipper last night who also got a bundle of the ball. Some very nice disposal last night, VB. :thumbsu:

Best Team Man

3. Dangerfield - enormous value from touches last night and nobody, repeat nobody, has more courage and determination than Danger. He's an Adelaide boy for life. :thumbsu:

2. Davis - his courage is well established for such a short career and his ability is becoming blatantly obvious. Add to this is his excellent football mind, as he knows when to mark and knows when to spoil. He's the goods alright.

1. Symes - another one who has his share of knockers, but we are a far better side with him than without him. Tough as tungsten and has a massive work rate - no wonder he didn't fit in at Alberton. :)

ROOKIE

3. Walker - another gun. Some of his tricks last night were outstanding. Left foot snap, left foot bullet pass, long goals. Beautiful to watch. A dead set natural forward and he and Tippett will be a formidable pair to contend with as they fully develop.

2. Sloane - love him as a player and love everything he stands for. Courage and guts personified - absolutely fearless. He'll be around for a very long time.

1. Henderson - a dead set natural forward who is still learning how to play footy. If he keeps learning at this rate he just might make it a real scary trio up forward in the future.

Same here, thanks.

Same but for BTM.

I've got Best Team Man as
Sloane
Symes
Danger

Massively excited about Henderson - need to go read more about how we found him.

Just on your comment Macca23 re: nobody having more courage and determination than Danger - I'd put Sloane past him at the moment as I think Rory actually thinks about it a little more.. and STILL throws himself in recklessly. I'm not sure Dange even computes that there are reasons to be afraid.. :)
