5: Parker - did a job on BBBH
4: Rodger - He's back
3: Mundy - This kid get better and better
2: M. Carr - played on Goodes all night and beat him, Welcome return to form
1: Pav - would have polled higher if he had not of faded in the 2nd half.

Other mentions to Dodd , Young Drummie (good first game) & Cookie 7 tackles.

We need 211 back pronto.

Lucky my big bloke is up in Townsville. I watched this game live tonight.I nearly put my foot through the telly.I was so cross.I am glad I don't support your team.Dumb me thought you might pull it off.Should have known, we went down a few years ago to the SCG and you guys were up in the last and then lost it..
oiiii. I am so mad.

Good to see Hayden back though.

5. Cook - only player that went in hard all night. If all our players had his mental attitude we'd finish top 2. I reckon just his presence had an effect on Headland, Hayden, Crowley and Dodd, who all tried their guts out in the first half.
4. Hayden
3. Pavlich
2. Johnson
1. Parker

Dishonourable mentions to Bell and Hasleby - when the game was there to be won, they went completely missing. And they are 2 of our leaders. I wouldn't be so upset if it was clear that everyone was trying their heart out. But there were about 8 players that don't deserve their paycheques tonight, because when the going got tough, they made the choice that it was all too hard. If Connolly wants to create a tough team, he needs to get rid of these gutless wonders until they decide to show some heart, even if it means sacrificing a game or 2.
The message needs to be sent to the playing group that anything less than 110% commitment will simply not be tolerated.

5. Parker- shut down his man, and his mans name was Barry. Nuff said.
4. Pavlich- shoulda had a couple more goals courtesy of free kicks.
3. Mundy- filled the hole well.
2. Hayden- looked like he was back to his brilliant best in patches.
1. Dodd- is Dodd, is good!

Drum didn't look out of his league at all tonight. He didn't shirk any contests and managed to find a bit of the ball. Hate to put the mocker on a kid after his first game, but to me he moves like a Dal Santo albeit without the polish.

5.) Cookie
4.) Parker
3.) Mundy
2.) Pav
1.) Drum....sympathy vote for having to debut in a game with such a gutless 4th qtr display from senior players.

Too spooky.... You must have read my mind....

Your votes differ from mine - I kept it the way sabre started it this year (which was different from last year) for continuity sake. ie After there were two players on 5 votes - instead of the next getting the 3 votes (like we did last year), the next guy got the 4 votes and so on down the line... Up to you, but that's what's been happening this year, so to keep it consistent... but six of one half a dozen of the other really... :)
