5 - Newman (now that's a captain's knock...careful son ,I may start liking you again if you actually become the player I thought you'd be when you were 21....)
4 - Thursfield...reminded us why he was so highly rated in 08...his spoiling was sublime as was his composure...kept us in the game...his best is simply streets ahead of Moore & McGuane anyone who can't see that is a fool. (though Moore was good today as well)
3 - Jack - 5 goals, worked hard, his presence now in the 50 and it's effect on the opposition cannot be underestimated
2 - Lids - some may say he was BOG..but for him that's the standard I expect.
1 - Gus....VFL hack...AFL gun..go figure....

Hons: Collins, Connors ( both very unlucky), Martin, Cuz, Farmer.

White's second half was nearly as good as his first half was shocking.

Cotch got a valuable lesson from Kirk though his touch of class near the end was crucial.

Tambling I thought came good after he got that "Bronx Cheer" in the 3rd....before that he was horrid.

Jackson's work ethic can't be faulted , but his disposal and decision making are quite simply atrocious... liability.

4. Newman: Having a great year. Stood up today.
3. Riewoldt: Went against 2 or 3 all day and still had a massive impact. He's that good.
2. Collins: Matchwinner. Never doubted his talent.
1. Farmer/Gus/Thursfield: Massive games for all 3 maligned players.

Jackson's strength in the packs should not be underestimated. 13 tackles, two superb bumps in close, no one escapes alive when he is involved. Kicking long and without hesitation (probably under instruction). Replay on at 7.30pm perhaps you should watch again without your obvious bias. Wonderful player in a team such as the mighties.

5. Deledio - great courage to come back after suffering an injury led from the front.
4. Newman - when the team needed in the last the captain stood up.
3. Jack - 5 goals in the end and kept us in the game early on. Turned the match with that grab in the 3rd.
2. Moore - had the better of Goodes and although Goodes looked like he could be the difference Moore was smart enough to tighten up on him.
1. Connors - sets up play across the backline so well. Starting to understand that he doesn't have to take on everyone.

5. Deledio - playing like that after his arm decided to turn around and head back the other way was amazing
4. Newman - it's just a pity he had to play under Wallace. We could have done with 5 years of this football.
3. Riewoldt - battled so hard against the odds and his kicking for goal these days is incredible
2. Collins - Whatever doesn't kill him will make him stronger, you just try and knock him out, and watch him win the match
1. Moore - hard to pick because there were so many others who played well but there were no faults to his game
