Apparently Nick Naitanui has a twin brother, though not identical. I wonder if he's considered playing some footy?

IIRC he is a lard ass.

I was in the area so went to see Peel vs Perth (well 3 qtrs of it)

Jordan Jones - Very impressive. Surely had more than the 20 possessions quoted. Hes got a great kick on him, VERY right footed though atm which is a worry for a defender but what impresses me the most is he reads the play so very well. Intelligent footballer. Good signs

Sam Butler - Tagged by 2 players essentially and didnt have much of a impact in the last half. Started off well though apparantly

Ashley Smith - Didnt know her was playing to be honest so I was surprised to see him with 4 possessions. Sounds about right if he was who I thought he was. Spent a ton of time on the bench

Will Schofield - Played everywhere and did a great job. Got 3 goals all using his speed to get away from his opponent. Wouldnt mind trying him as a lead up forward like MArk Williams or Sean Rusling. Could have a future there. Dont see it in defence to be honest.

Lewis Jetta DID nominate for the draft.

Him and a few friends all drove up to Perth to play, then came back down to Bunbury to play SWFL.

Then he pulled the plug and played in Bridgetown, but then this year they set up a homestead up in Perth where Lewis and a couple of other aboriginal boys stay at so they don't have to travel.

It was all in yesterday's West Australian.

His twin brother is like 4 feet shorter than Nic.

I love the thought of two identical Naitanui's prowling around on the field like two Freo mods on the Dockers board looking for WC supporter prey after a loss:D:thumbsu:

Only footy he looks like playing is rugby union. He got the more traditional fijian blood. Would probably pack down the front row of a scrum

Thomson's development this year has been as outstanding as it was last year whilst on the Eagles list. He has gone from strength to strength and now consitently in the best players. I was stunned, quite frankly, that he wasn't picked up by another club, at least, just to see what he had to offer. But, kudos must go to him for continuing to develop at the rate he has this year.

From Swans yesterday:

Naitanui - everyone has heard what he did, but I'll describe the third quarter goal he kicked. You could see what was going to unfold but didn't believe it could. He turns his marker inside out on the boundary line about 40m out from goal, tapped the ball between his legs and immediately burnt off that opponent. He's galloping along with the ball held out in his left hand, feigning the handball to Jetta? I think running on his inside. Got around the next defender, along the boundary line still going to goal. 1 Souths defender stayed on the goal line, ala a goalkeeper, with Naita just coming straight at him from the boundary, then he does a dinky little left foot grubber alongside the defender as he's jumping to try and stop the ball. Brilliant!
I must admit I wasn't sold on him up forward in the first, but playing CHF he looked lost. However, he was then put to FF and Notte roaming CHF and I must say, I am actually stunned at the development. His leads were quite good, to good position and marking, as LTAM says, has improved out of site. He almost looked "natural" up forward. I still love him on the ball more though. :D:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Notte - was probably the most impressed with a Tony Notte game than I have been at league level before. He actually fought the whole game out and obviously read Embers post about seagulling, because I don't think I saw him get space all day yesterday, except when on the lead a couple of occasions. He seemed continually in a pack of 4 flying for the ball or fighting on the ground to feed it out to runners. 4 very good tackles laid, couple of beautiful contested marks and worked his guts out all day. I thought it was a much better effort. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Ryan Davis - Thought he was quite good in the first half, becoming cleaner with his skills and better decision making. Looks very solid in the midfield but didn't see much of him after about midwayt through the third quarter, so not sure if injured? :thumbsu:

Callum Wilson - bounced back with a much better game, I thought, yesterday. Good leading forward work, kicking was a bit astray but his leading was good. :thumbsu:

Swannies have you ever heard Naitanui call? Seems to be a very quiet player.

He should use his strength and pace in the one on one situation more often in my opinion. Sometimes they seemed to just kick it in his direction and he'd be on a half lead, jogging... still why wouldn't you? He makes things happen.

He's not quiet.

Screams when free.

I heard we were supposed to take Jaimie Bennell with pick 36. Maybe when Melbourne pipped us at pick 35 Woodhouse was like "Ooo ****. This bloke looks alright" and his finger by chance landed on Ash Smith. I mean its not like us to pick lazy players but we've managed to get a couple this year in Bedford and Smith :thumbsd:

Convinced now you're an idiot.

Or he was just next on our list?

I wanted Walters.

Ash Smith is a gun.

Just need to get the Victoria out of him.

Certainly the assist coach I know thinks he'll be very good. I love it when people, who probably don't even know the player, label them as lazy or this or that or the other.

Convinced now your either Trump or a new alias of Gunnar. You struggle to notice sarcasm.

Sorry if I'm having an opinion thats different to yours. Get over yourself.

I dont mind if people have differing opinions, it's when they are ill-conceived and blatantly stupid that I feel the need to illustrate the holes in said persons argument.

Hes just young Swannies. I have no doubt his work ethic will improve but right now its definately worth criticizing and hopefully he takes notice of this current opinion of him and works hard to contradict it.

He must of injured himself cos he spent a ridiculous amount of time on the bench.

AAHHAAHAHHAAHhaHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAHAAHAH.

Funnily enough its only when they are different to yours ill-conceived and blatantly stupid. When you have an opinion of your own rather than arguing with everyone in an obvious attempt to troll I might actually take on board something you say. As of now your just proving me more correct with every (to borrow a quote) "ill-conceived and blatantly stupid" post you make.

I know who will sort it out of him, if it is there. Worsfold. Malthouse wouldn't tolerate lazy players and I'm betting Worsfold is exactly the same. Remember, he's only started playing footy in the last month, so he's had no pre-season either.
