The rest of the Carlton team should be lined up to kick Waite in the balls as a reminder to what an absolute c&^khead he is doing this sort of stuff.

Really, just not acceptable.

Should be suspended internally if he does something similar for the rest of the year.

Great news and has made my afternoon. :thumbsu:

But honestly i am sick of Waite allways flirting with the rules and he just needs to get his mind on the job and play footy as the opposition are going after him more and more to try to suck him in etc.

how the heck did he get off? Lets hope he is counting his lucky stars and pulls his head in.

Any chance Campbell Brown was cited for being the world's biggest tool?

Just hope he steers clear of Campbell Brown this week.

I miss your old sig :(

You've kicked him enough.

Waite did nothing wrong.

McGuane pushed him and he overbalanced.

Unless Jarrad has eyes in the back of his head, how would he have attempted to kick McGuane in the balls with the back of his right leg? ;)

Rance deserved more than three weeks.

Clear strike forty metres off the ball.

The Eagles player that marked it in the forward 50 and had it overturned due to throwing an elbow had more force and intent behind it.

Never expected him to have a case to answer for.

3 weeks sounds harsh on Rance
Disagree.

Jamison got two for a fair hip and shoulder that happened to concuss his opponent.
Rance should've got at least double that for an illegal bump 40 metres off the ball that made high contact.

Waite got incredibly lucky, however, so I don't feel to aggrieved.

Rance, meanwhile, has been charged with a level four engaging in rough conduct offence against Waite, Carlton.

The incident resulted in Waite leaving the ground in a groggy state. He then achieved the unwanted honour of being the first player substituted out of a home and away game.

It was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), high impact (three points) and high contact (two points).

This is a total of seven activation points, drawing 425 demerit points and a four-match suspension.

But Rance can accept a three-match ban if he lodges an early guilty plea.

Generous interpretation TG. Given his history. Guy got lucky. Not one of the great thinkers is son of Vin. Can play but.

Watch it again.

If it wasn't Waite, no one would even be questioning it.

I guess McGuane will miss this week with a sore groin....

It's similar to Judd being reported for striking Pavlich who had tackled him from behind.

That was another blind attempt to hit the arm that had tackled Judd.

Careless or reckless, but not an intentional strike like Hall on Staker and Solomon on Ling.

Hamill is still the luckiest player to get off. ;)

I'm with TG with this one. What doesn't help Waite is that 95% of the replays that the media had been showing of it have been the kick and not what led to it. If you take it from the kick then of course it's going to look bad.

People have to understand that intentionally kicking another player is considered one of the biggest dog acts an AFL players can commit. If it had have been malicious the entire media would have been all over it in a much more than "ho hum" way than what they were. It was an interesting one as it happened and they "had to" show it to create a little bit of controversy, but there wasn't anything in it.

We were obviously watching different footage. He tried to kick someone in the balls. Minor miracle that he got off IMO

Fully functioning forwardline (almost, without Hoops) :)

Betts Waite Garlett
Walker Henderson Carrazzo/?

KO'd someone 40 meters off the ball, meant they missed the rest of the game. Seems reasonable to me

Given the severe concussion that Waite has obviously suffered I expect he'll missing this week.

Also I guess Carlton along with the rest of the clubs in the AFL will now be teaching their players to no longer block their opponents off the ball and allow them to have free run at the footy.
