Hey guys. Big fan of Warnock and wondering what you guys think it will take for the blues to gain his services? I think our first rounder (pick 6) would be too much however our 2nd rounder (24) wont be enough. What do you guys think is needed?

Realistically, probably pick 24 and Steven Browne is your main chance

Yeah Bower is a must keep for us. Only really started to build our defence and he is going to play a big part in it. Off topic but how is Drum progressing? Is he likely to become a key defender? I don't really get to watch alot of you guys.

Has the size and speed to become a really handy defender.. but at times his disposal and decision making is rather lacking.. i would hope we will keep him though and give him a fair crack, at least a full year next year
 
You want Warnock you are going to have to pay the price.
Carlton had the threat of the PSD over West Coast, no such option now.
Really, if Warnock was in the draft where would he go. Do you honstly think he would drop to Carlton? With his height, mobility and experience we would be talking about a steal at 1.
There ladies and gents is his value.
Bower or you first round choice.

Carlton didn't have the threat of the pre-season draft. Judd nominated Carlton and West-Coast had to deal or face that he would fall to Richmond in the pre-season draft. You guys face the same possibilty. Melbourne are apparently not so keen on trading anything in the 1st or 2nd round. I personally think that he may pick Melbourne however.

Your spot on mate ...6 is too high and 24 is too low.

Something has to move ...it will either be find another draft pick or package a player with the pick.

It means Melbourne are now forced to talk turkey.

Given they can't give a player - because there are only 5 or so even worth listing, they may have to give up pick 17 if Carlton offer 24 and a player.

I don't think Melbourne and Carlton will be the only ones after this bloke. You'll probably find that most of the Melbourne based clubs will be interested.

Warnock has agreed 2 a 4 year deal with melbourne and freo will get carroll and 3rd round pick.will be public next week imo.My source is pretty close with a couple of players and it was me who posted 2 weeks ago that hes in melb lookin 4 a flat with his brother .

Years ago my sister's boyfriend (ex-bf now) was drafted by Collingwood. They went over to Melb and shared a house with a mate who had been drafted to StKilda, and another who was at North.

Carroll and a third round pick would be a rubbish deal for freo. Melb would be pretty close to delisting carroll i would have thought. Although in saying that it sounds like a typical freo trade.

That might be what Melbourne are offering but I guarantee that Carroll won't be playing for Fremantle in 2009.

There is NO chance of pick 6 or Bower being offered, Warnock is out of contract and can go to Melbourne in the PSD for nothing, whilst he has some potential he is basically a unproven player.

Fremantle are not in a position of power on this and will have to accept the best offer.

Seriously its like Warnock is worth HEAPS. He is 21 and is an allrite player but he isnt as good as lashing out heaps for him. Example Kerr, 10 times the player of Warnock and you think he is like worth heaps
