Yeah players should have to cop suspensions after their injury is healed. Bit of a loopholeNo, but he broke his arm on the advertising board.
The points are valid. If Brayshaw said something about Gaffs family member Gaff is allowed to punch him based on precedent

His old man has already forgiven gaffy.... Which means more than the opinion of bigfooty peeps who are still baying for blood. So many knotted knickers in here.
Only until a star player gets sent off for something borderline after an opponent stayed down like they were knocked out to sucker the umpire into it, card comes out, player is straight up and bravely plays out the game with zero ill effects, doesn't miss next week either and nobody is suspended. If any good is to come out of this, it will be a red card system that will genuinely reduce the events of these types of disgraces.
Wait and see what comes out at tribunalHe didn’t though, did he?
We will leave those things for your mob
Has to be actioned by a video reviewer but having seen the score review system afl will stuff that up tooOnly until a star player gets sent off for something borderline after an opponent stayed down like they were knocked out to sucker the umpire into it, card comes out, player is straight up and bravely plays out the game with zero ill effects, doesn't miss next week either and nobody is suspended.
.. Then the AFL will remove it again.
Remember Des Headland? So yeah AFL says you can hit someone based on what they say
Please have a look at the board rules before you are insulting others if you think you are a superior humanI did watch it. Your level of intelligence is evident by your embarrassing post.
But dont let that stop you deflecting.
I would like to think there was no malice (even for a split second) and it was just Gaff trying to get around an opponent he had rapport with, and his forceful contact was misjudged and became a horribly reckless head high hit that caused serious damage, and effectively brought the game into disrepute. That's would I would like to think was running through his mind, although running away from a friend you felled is deeply flawed, the sort of thing to haunt him for many years I would think. I also assume Brayshaw was innocent of any niggle or sledge inviting retribution, more of an unlucky victim. The points are valid. If Brayshaw said something about Gaffs family member Gaff is allowed to punch him based on precedent
You just said they should be allowed but keep saying they shouldn’t because it’s too messy. That’s both sidesWas never playing both sides. I just don't think players press assault charges because it can get real messy. Did mills press charges against Bugg? What about Cripps on Lewis?
Wait and see what comes out at tribunal
I agree with this. It’s a shitty cultural situation where assault is okay on field, happens at local level too.Criminalising events on the sporting field is a difficult thing because there are so many grey areas. But that does not excuse inaction in clear cut matters like this one. Massively injurious king hits off the ball should not be left to the tribunals of sporting bodies to deal with.
The problem is that moving forward on this would require the victim to make a formal complaint and cooperate with a prosecution.
If the player were to initiate that then I think the football world would descend upon him with an enormous amount of pressure to relent. I don't think any first year player is in a position to withstand that pressure.
There should be but almost certainly won't be a police charge laid.

Exactly. I just don’t get the people trying that line of argument.Have very little time for the ‘he didn’t mean to get him in the head’ line. When you swing that hard at someone a broken jaw and loose teeth is an entirely foreseeable outcome.
I shouldn’t be surprised to see a grub like Carey try to dismiss it as an accident on Talking Footy. Certainly not surprised to see it from some of the usual suspects here. But it’s still disappointing.
What is your word "fool" for?Never said nor thought I was better than anyone.
What Gaff did has nothing to do with ANY of your four points, in fact some of them (such as what Lyon did or did not do outside of a football match) is downright ridiculous.
Moving on.
The real question here is: how offended are you?You just said they should be allowed but keep saying they shouldn’t because it’s too messy. That’s both sides
No they didn’t. But they were perfectly entitled to and all players should understand that. A football field should not protect someone from the law in regards to punching people.
Who gives a **** if it gets messy? I’d say requiring surgery and not being able to eat solids is messy enough to warrant a messy response (I’m not even sure what that means. It just seems like you don’t understand that common law isn’t black and white and can account for differences in situation)
So now that your tactic of bringing up melbourne players doing it didn’t work, what’s next?
Were you upset when ali Fahour had police involved? You’ve still yet to explain why top level should be exempt from police involvement?
So you don’t actually have a point? At least we’ve cleared that upThe real question here is: how offended are you?
Youre an ideas manI'm surprised WC fans aren't calling for the police to be involved. He won't go to jail but they might be able to make him stay in Perth to do some community service over the next 12 months = New contract.
I have no idea what the hell Gaff was doing/trying to do the young Brayshaw considering they're friends the whole thing makes very little sense
I wonder what % even reads a newspaper anymore when there's something else/better.I can see why the mainstream media in Australia is so shit. Imagine if 95% of the people in here had control over a newspaper.
