Could Waverly be used for VFL/NAB Challenge games???

If so, what kind of crowd do you think could get there now?

And what type of facilities are now available?

No turnstiles (presumably), no parking, no public transport, no council approval, so unfortunately no.

Waverley should have been the VFL's Grand Final venue had they not got rid of absolutely every inch of the terracing. Even if they kept the lower tiers of the terrace areas and grassed the rest of it a la Elizabeth Oval in Adelaide, it would have been great for the VFL finals.

Yes...but the monies tied up in VFL Park were needed to sponsor wine & cheese events in Sydney as well as AFL ticket-give-aways throughout eastern NSW.
