Whether it's hunger, form or discipline they just don't seem to have the same ability as 2018 to combat their slow starts and fight their way back.

Add a complete inability to play in slippery or wet conditions and I think most teams will just try to blitz them in the first quarter, knowing they aren't showing the grit or willingness to take the game on, to drag their way back into it.

Should have lost against Freo and are getting dismantled by Port, Geelong and Collingwood are definitely the teams to beat.

waaaay too early to make that call.

Yeah red hot Collingwood are the team to beat haven't put a foot wrong except that time west coast dismantled them on their home deck yet again.....

Surely this thread is a troll?..

In their first 5 rounds last year they got done by 5 goals by Sydney at home round 1, ran over an undermanned/no bench Geelong for a narrow win round 3, and barely beat Carlton in round 5. They barely beat Freo round 6.

They'll be thereabouts again. Give em a sunny September day and their marking will be hard to stop. They aren't spending all the petrol tickets in April.

At some stage the stars will need to kick into gear to seal the top 4 spot and preferably a top 2 spot, but they are going to be 3-2 (if tonight keeps going the same way) so hardly time to write them off.

The result of mental scars and Collingwood over correcting and trying to play the over possessing game. Look at how they played yesterday. Play that way and they dismantle WC.

Guarantee, sides will just look at this and the Brisbane game and realise they can run the gauntlet, because the midfield pressure and want just isn't there.

It'd be different if they had some flex in the midfield or depth to replace players like Hutchings, but they don't.

This is WC 2019 not WC 2018.

Look at Kennedy, out there hanging his head, can't even take a grab. Darling completely unsighted, no stomach for when the game is on the line. I don't think WC have bought into their own hype, just that that extra 5% effort that saved them last year when they were trailing early, isn't there. That's when the teams deficiencies are exposed.

Short of the 4 points, home and away games in April count for very little.

It's a long season and it's all about being right when it matters in September, i'm sure teams like West Coast don't care if they are a bit off at this point of the season as they still have the cattle there to have a tilt when it gets to the pointy end

If a 22 point loss is a dismantling, what do you call this? 1555672992873.png

If you wrote off every team that has looked average so far this year, you can put a line through everyone bar GWS and Geelong.

There is "losing" and there is losing.

Getting completely annihilated by Brisbane, then Port at home in the exact same way, is different to just dropping the odd game.
