Freo has been quite outstanding @ the trade table over the years

Delaney, Ridley, Kickett and Russell Williams all went to Freo.
We got the Lloyd concession pick, Pick 4 in the National Draft (Scott Lucas) and Pick 39 (Stephen Carter).

AFL reporting makes it look like it was Delaney for the Lucas pick, Kickett fo the Carter pick and Ridley for the Lloyd pick.

I remember him single-handedly winning a game for us against Adelaide at FP when we kicked 8 or 9 in the last qtr and he kicked 3 or 4 early in the last.

He's no Peter Cransberg though.

Freo could never had got The Great One, but hawfforn could have, they had him lined up all summer until we swooped. Becuse Essendon finished lower than hawfforn we had first pick in clubs who "lost" players to Freo when they entered the competition. That`s part one.
Part two is a pearler. Ian Collins, ex blue c.e.o and then AFL operations manager changed the father son rule from a minimal amount to 50 games and there are no prizes for guessing who The Great Ones`s old man played for.He played 29 games for that scum,21 off from his son being a blue, a year or two ago he would have been all theirs until collo, god bless him, stuck his nose in.
So hawfforn missed out, but got Brad (hehehehehe) and carlton got stiffed by one of their own, nothing sweeter.
It`s the best bit of buisness EVER conducted by a club under all these draft rules. Freo/Adl/McCleod deal comes in second
