Wouldnt get excited about beating NSW. SA beat a full strength NSW a few weeks ago which just goes to show well they are going at the moment !!!!
Seriously though the Vics seem to be the team to beat at the moment. Losing Reiffel, Fleming, Miller seems to have been the best thing to happen to them. How good is Harwood. I havent seen much of him but he is having a great year. Gets a lot of reverse swing apparently. Could be a bolter for WI tour perhaps.

Indeed. I thought Inness, Harwood and Lewis all bowled quite well. Lewis may finally be maturing as a bowler after being so-so for a few seasons now. Add to that back-up in the form of Will Carr and Rob Cassell, I haven't seen either but both are reputedly quite decent. Victoria's fast bowling stocks seem very healthy.

Having said that I would think Mathew Inness would be the only one on the national selectors minds.

It was interesting to hear Darren Berry talk about how New South Wales gave us absolutely no respect during the match... apparently Steve Rixon came out and said that Victoria hadn't really been tested as yet and Berry's reply was that we still wait to be tested, hopefully in the new year as we weren't during this match.

As a proud Victorian, that reply from Darren Berry was absolutely pure gold!!
