I always think from a loss we can learn from it and just get better...draw strength from it..... But hard to do without a game plan and the fact when every time a couple of little aboriginals are in our back line we just SH&T ourselves

We are crap, we have no plan, we have crap coaches and big heads.....

Upside from tonight was I thought Josh Thomas & Seedsman outshone most of our stars. Promising for when the stars get their form back.

There might be some truth to what you are saying after about 4-5 really good seasons this is the 1st season that we look vulnerable and people are not use to it.

Yes we have issues but calm down.
First half was terrible but the way we fought back to take the lead [momentarily] was positive.

I recall in 2010 we had a mediocre start.
Geelong in 2007 had a particularly bad loss against Norf at Kardinia Park- and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

In both cases the sides only lost one more time that year before winning the flag. All is not lost. I think this might be the kickstart Bucks needs to look at some tactical changes to introduce...starting next week.

Can I just say that we are actually NOT last on the ladder.... Judging by what you guys are saying, it seems as though you think that you only have good coaches if you are top of the table.

That means Geelong, Hawks and Essendon.

The rest of the league's teams must have terrible coaches. Because, we have actually WON a few games :O which means that we have better coaching than some teams??? INCLUDING CARLTON>?

Come on guys... You're being ridiculous. If every team that didn't finish top 4 got a new coach every year, there would be 14 new coaches every year.

Didn't watch the game, listened to 774. However these are my thoughts:

Too many skill errors not only by foot and hand, but also decision making - coaching staff (def not a supporter of Lappin)?
Don't seem to run out games - fitness???
Can't understand why Didak wasn't recalled, we seem to have too many young kids in - Team Selection?
Forward line set up - coaching?
Ruck, Jolly can't jump, his tap outs barely go out of the centre circle and doesn't go back to support our backline??
Leading Teams - was never a supporter of bring them in to a club like ours. We have a number of unique personalities unlike Sydney which is the only place it seems to have had success. Players like Swan, Shaw, Daisy need to be treated differently and don't think that group meetings work for them. The recent examples of Jolly, Thomas and Pendlebury comments in the press tells me that it is not working that well. In fact can work against team harmony.
Didn't work at the Bulldogs.

The question now is what can we improve on as we played an undermanned Freo tonight and were badly beaten. In fact, despite being 4-3 am concerned that we could be 4-5 and struggling in two weeks.

Lappin our forward coach what is he meant to be providing to the small forwards? Surely he isn't coaching Cloke?

We are not tackling hard enough and there is not much pressure. I hate to say it but bucks is not a good coach. Our team that played tonight should of won by 5 goals. They were disgraceful especially some if there effets. I have no idea what's bucks is game plan is I'm not even sure the players know but I think they must think it sucks.

I know alot if people saying tony shaw was a shit coach but tony did not have the talent like bucks has which makes it even worse for bucks. Anyway jolly is struggling and lynch had a shocker too. I still love the pies and enjoyed the last 7 years of making finals but I honestly think we will finish with around 11 wins this year and will miss the 8! If we miss finals next year bucks won't be coaching in 2015

I am sick of accepting mediocrity when it comes to our club. We gone backwards at a rapid rate since 2011!

More importantly most other team's do not have our resources. So you are simply not comparing LIKE with LIKE.

It is all about what you can EXTRACT with rersources that you have available at a specific point in time.

Right now we - our coaches (both singular and collective) - are extracting just about JACK SH...T!

Hawthorns Game Plan.
Control the ball in defense run forward of the ball at a manic rate and play on before any opposition mans you up. They play a fast pace game, not necessarily foot speed but the way they play on and look to move it forward.
They have also adopted our "old" forward pressure style in D50 when they don't have the pill.
They are also the ultimate extractors of the ball from stoppages and center clearances.
