Are you counting top 10-12 on form, or top 10-12 on importance to team structure?

Hear me out please, I am the biggest fan of Robbie Gray (by far my favourite player) but I think it would be best for the club.
If you look at the demographic of our list and taking into account the emergence of GWS and our current performance we are not going to win a premiership or probably even be in the top 4 over the next 4 years. In 4 years time Robbie Gray will be 32 years old and I doubt he will be playing the football he is at the moment. Robbie Gray is in the top 3 players in the league for mine in terms of impact he can individually have on the game and he is worth absolute gold to a club who is closer than us to a premiership. If we could get 2 first rounders or something in that sort of ball park I think it would be best for our list management to trade him and aim to peak the list somewhere around the 2021,2022 mark. Obviously I am discounting players/kids I do not rate but here is what we could look like in 2021.
B: DBJ (25), Austin (25), Clurey (27)
HB: Broadbent (30), Hombsch (28), Pittard (30)
C: Polec (28), Wines (26), Hartlett (30)
HF: Wingard (27), Howard (25), Impey (25)
FF: Palmer (24), Dixon (30), Neade (26)
R: Snelling (23), Ryder (33), Amon (25)
Bench: Bonner (24), Toumpas (26), Jonas (30), Frampton (24)
Then you add the 2-3 first round draft picks who would be 22 by 2021 and I think if all progresses well we have a team who can actually contend for a premiership.
!!!The short term view we took of trading has backfired unfortunately. It's not the silliest option if maybe Hartlett or Boak were on the table however remember this......
We paid overs for Ryder a 28 year old.
We paid overs for Dixon a 25 year old.
We've traded for the 'now'.
We don't even have a 2nd pick this year.
We've gone all in, if we can't turn this around we're in big trouble long term.
I read that in Mr. Bankrupt's voice.Trrrrrraaaaadddeeee eeeeevvvvvveeeerrrrryyyyyyoooonnnnneee!
Amirite?
I read that in Mr. Bankrupt's voice.
We are taking week options,we dont go low and hard this is why we fumble and over run the ball.It all comes down to skills and we suck, we need to fix that. ATM Gray is one of few with those skills.
Agree entirely. We are taking week options,we dont go low and hard this is why we fumble and over run the ball.
We are also mentally week.
