I'm not finding that at all. I've got very quick loading. Much quicker than the old site, and I have a very slow connection at home.I assume 'The site runs like a pig' is still an open issue? Pages regularly take 20 - 60 seconds to open up. This is across different browsers and from my work and home PC's (both on ADSL2 and lightning fast to access other sites at the same time, so it's not a 'your connection is slow problem').
Yeah, the new forum once it's loaded is all good, but I thought one of the main reasons for moving was performance. And that's markedly down from the old site.

Nah, it's consistent no matter what pages I'm going to. Not a random combination of ads. I get it even going into forum pages, not just threads. And they are usually ad-free. Just lucky I guessI'm not finding that at all. I've got very quick loading. Much quicker than the old site, and I have a very slow connection at home.
I know there are some issues with a couple of the ad servers at the moment, so if loading seems to hang then try stopping and reload. You should get ads from a different server and it will load pretty much instantly.
They're trying to fix it but it's a third party issue so not directly under our control.

Think it needs a plugin. I know the fantasy mods have raised it with Chief so its on the radar. Is there anyway to find out who has posted in a thread and how many times? Will be good to know for the SFA.
Ok, problem solved. Running firefox where it comes up with what's holding it up, rather than a generic 'sending request' it was the tags.expo9... etc. site. Putting https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgradesAndre I am not sure what the issue might be. Yes pages can be a bit sluggish if the ad takes a while to load and there are a couple of issues people are experiencing when posting some types of posts and loading attachments but otherwise I can't think of any particular issues.
We're making some changes to usergroups soon which might resolve a few things. We'll see how it goes.
on chrome and it flies along. I don't mind ad's in the normal run of things, and understand they help keep the site up. Unless / until they stop it from being blazing fast vs. painfully slow I won't be viewing them again though.Time to upgrade myself to platinum I think..This is now fixed. I've also allowed Platinum members to bypass the 'flood check' which means no need to wait 30 seconds before posting another post.
Sometimes if I edit a post I get the entire page on 'centre alignment'.Is anyone else except a couple from our board seeing the 'centre alignment' happening after they make a post (see above Post 1316) - programmers need to be aware of how big a problem it is IF they are going to do anything about it?
LOL just went to quote this and got error message and everything was centre aligned when I closed error message - I did not refresh just tried quote again and it quoted (have found lately that centre aligning does not always mean you must refresh to get things to work).I've taken the overlay off so editing is on a new page. Let me know if it is still happening.
) but I will keep an eye on it (maybe I will try and edit this once I have posted it)
