Don’t have that yet, but…Love to see how many kilometres he covered.
Second highest career disposals, had 34 touches in his first year once.Don’t have that yet, but…
- Ward clocked the 2nd fastest speed on the ground(!)
- Excluding the Dogs’ sub, Ward had the equal highest average speed in defence.
Those are two very good metrics to see from a young midfielder…
P.S. was our top disposal getter (with 28) - unsure if he’s done that before?
I really hope this is the shift from him realising he can contribute at AFL level to knowing he can be elite. Has been building up to this performance for a month, if he can do it more consistently our midfield future looks bright. He’s just a ****ing gun. Ball use top notch, tough as nails, clean as all hell. He has everything you want in a proper A Grade star midfielder. His connection with meek was a joy to watch and his ball use particularly just seriously elite. Gonna be a huge player.
Bump.
Time to get on the Ward bandwagon, 2025 will be his time to shine.
I'm waiting impatiently for some paperwork to be shoved under his nose, 'cmon sleepy Mark, give him 5 years.Somebody get this guy a contract extension.
Has been career best in a meaningful, attacking sense a few times this year already - upped the ante again last night.THIS time, that is his career best game.
Until next week, probably.
Matthew Lloyd on Tuesday, reviewing the Hawks v Pies: "Ward's not up to it".When Nuke rates you as best on ground by a mile you know you're doing okay.
I hear this is happening and will be resigned soon.I'm waiting impatiently for some paperwork to be shoved under his nose, 'cmon sleepy Mark, give him 5 years.
