If Durdin is the calibre of player we are able to attract we should have just kept Evans and mcentee. He isn’t a significant upgrade on either of them. It’s just shuffling deck chairs. Especially if our pick 29 is involved. Would much rather we chased Ainsworth ourselves.

He has been in the AFL system longer than both, roughly the same age and a downgrade on both

and might not be as good as Sumner-Pickett in the draft

or Jesse Motlop who was out of contract at the same club

or Ainsworth who we are helping get to Carlton

Sounds more like a replacement for DBJ's pressure forward role who pops up for a goal now and then. But fair enough, he's 30 and most recently moved back to defence.

The search continues for a goal kicking small forward.

Side note: Carlton seem to have a lot of average/injury prone/unwanted small forwards. Frank the Tank looks like one of their better ones.

Blues could throw Durdin into Ainsworth deal​

Carlton small forward Corey Durdin could be moving to Port Adelaide as part of a multiple team trade to secure Suns forward Ben Ainsworth for the Blues.

The Power’s pick 29 is likely to be part of the exchange as talks continue.
