Fair enough, but from an outsider's opinion this year I've rated Goldstein's season higher. I'd have Wells & Swallow neck and neck.

Griffen by the length of the line up for Harry Potter yesterday. Bloody hell that was big.
Wells has easily been the best player for North this year. Both in consistency and impact on games.

Watched much of Wells this year? Your post indicates not.Classic DVD player response. I'd have to agree though and take griffen, a player who can win it both inside and outside.
Wells was born in 1985, Griffen 1986, so that equates to one year separating the two.

Not saying that Wells isn't all class but to maintain it like Griff has for over 2 years is very, very rare at the Bulldogs
Gus, mate, its a bit unfair to make that generalization about all North supporters because that's simply not the case. Griff is quality and as much as I hate to say it is probably ahead of Wells so far, but IMO Wells has the potential to track him down in the not to distant future as I believe he is the more naturally gifted athlete.
That is of course he maintains his high work ethic and stays injury free.

Resorting to digs at the team aaaand we are out.
Typical North supporters need to have a dig at others to make themselves feel good.
Career's so far would go with Griffen, but this year alone Wells has had the better season.
Yes it is unfair. I apologise. Typical insecure North supporter then (excluding the secure ones) who need to have a dig at the oppostion.
I think they (Griff and Wells) are on par athletically. Having seen Griff up close through juniors and now in the AFL, he's an absolute monster. Definition of a power athlete. In Wells' two extra seasons in the league he's only just been able to keep up with Griffen. The potential is there but you also have to factor in the high possibility that Ryan is going to be around longer, and still has potential improvement to come.
How are you judging that though? Griffen has been better statistically, and his team is higher on the ladder with him as the standout player. Is almost a lock for his second consecutive best and fairest.
I could argue that being a good player in a good side is easier than being a good player in a poorer side.
Although to be fair to Griffen, obviously I have seen more of Wells this season.
Until this round we were lower on the ladder than you and you'd definitely be able to mount a case that we were poorer. Griffen was our shining light through that poor passage. Until this round just gone our seasons were pretty much identical.
Hang on, two posts ago you were going on about him being the standout player in a team higher on the ladder?
Make up your mind.
