So anyone else having a punt on this one tomorrow? Looks to have a pretty decent field.

Will have a tickle, but going to save my cash for VRCD and MC.

Tips people?

Haven't had a good look but:

Race 7: Antarctic Miss
Race 8: Siapa Rajah
Race 9: Divine Rebel
Race 10: Northern Point (Carrying MASSIVE weight)

All look pretty solid

Queen of queens is a certainty on ability but see how she goes after cranny cup when she should have been scratched

My tips for tomorrow's card are ;

R1 NO03 Fightingforfame
R2 NO04 Determination
R3 NO10 Variegated
R4 NO07 Powderhall
R5 NO07 Woodwin
R6 NO03 Calibration
R7 NO07 Blacken
R8 NO11 Imvula
R9 NO07 Unfreeze
R10 NO9 Bombay Express

The Werribee Cup @ Geelong looks a reasonable card.

R1 - Fightingforfame - Should win and build a bank for remainder of day
R2 - First World - If track is suiting run-on types this bloke could get up at odds.
R3 - Western Coup - Despite a maiden after 12 starts, it has placed in 8 and has a good first up record.
R4 - Powerhall - Load up!!!
R5 - Gratis - Has some class with solid runs in G3 behind Moment in Time and beaten only 6l in SA Oaks by Zarita.
R6 - Mount Everest - Beaten 4l by Tindal last start. Good enough for me.
R7 - Danedina - Handy race. Antarctic Miss the obvious danger
R8 - Mandela - Super record 2nd up. Won at track. Will be racing handy.
R9 - Duke Street - Ordinary race. 2nd up record sound and ran 3rd behind Sunburnt Land this time last year. Watch No.2 after long break.
R10 - Straight Legs - Gets in at 54 and is 6kg better than obvious danger, Northern Point.

Will post quaddie numbers tomorrow.

My Thoughts:

Race 1: 3- Fightingforfame Smokey: 2 - BLACKGATE
Race 2: 4 - DETERMINATION
Race 3: 5- Western Coup Smokey: 10 Variegated
Race 4: 7 - Powderhall
Race 5: 1 - Invinciblekindness
Race 6: 5- Flying Duel
Race 7: 2- Antarctic Miss
Race 8: 12- Red Square , 5 Queen Of Queens
Race 9: 1- Duke Street, 6 Siapa Rajah (NZ)
Race 10: 1- Northern Express

I like Grand Journey at double figures.
Same,
I had a look at its form, so far this prep has been racing in group or listed races, 4th up and getting to a better trip, dead track form reads pretty good when you see shes had 6 starts for 1 placing but all in black type races and not beaten too far in most of them. Will get a great run from barrier 4 and should be able to settle on pace or even lead, theres no pace in this race at all and the others in the markets will get back.

No surprise Northen Express got scratched. Carrying a heap of weight.

Only four bets for me today (although i might have a dip at the Sadler horse in the 9th if i've won on the day).

R2.2 Speelberg - Pretty ordinary race, but i don't mind this horse and his last run in a good race was solid.
Normally i wouldn't bet in such a race, but he's well over the odds (thanks to the Oliver factor on the three, which is a chance too), so i've had a little nibble to start the day.

R4.8 Luke Duke - As i said in the blackbookers thread after it's last run, it was an absolute good thing beaten and should have won easily.
He's been gelded since that run, and for me only a poor ride will see him beaten.

R5.6 Pravasani - Very talented horse with a great record.
Ran a cracking race first up, but his condition cost him the race.
Should be fitter today, and on his home track i think he's a great chance in what is a tough race.

R8.11 Imvula - Royally bred entire who has form around Rockwood, Moatize, Faulconbridge and Lorne Dancer.
I'd be backing all of those in this race, and Imvula is carried the lowest weight it's ever carried, so i'm happy to take a punt on him measuring up.

Good luck lads.

Well, that was a disappointing start.

I can't catch Damien Oliver.
I've backed him four times in the last two weeks, and he's not won on one of them (and ridden a couple of them poorly), yet he seems to win on virtually everything when i pot him.

Ah, The joys of the punt. :D

I remember this horses last run which was huge, out 3 and 4 wide the whole race, looked gone at the turn and somehow managed to run on well in the straight to finish 3rd to a promising stayer in Faulconbridge and the 2nd horse Ready To Lift won impressively on the weekend. Pity its drawn barrier 12 but must be a huge chance.

Yeah, that was a massive run. He was entitled to run last but gutsed it out.

A second and two fourths for me so far, which is pretty disappointing.

Decided to back Outcrop in the next.
