Brett Ratten was the best I ever saw in the wet. In fact he was just an awesome player allround (great in and under). As far as i've seen both cox and josh fraser are very good ruckmen in the wet. Defies logic that bigmen could have great hands with the wet footy

Richo kicked 7 goals at the SCG in the pouring rain not long ago.

Andrew Krakouer and David Rodan are the Richmond players in recent years who have proven to be the "wet weather specialists" where they step up their game. Cogs was always a champion no matter what the weather so you couldn't call him a specialist - same applies for Jimmy Bartel.

acker was always very good in the wet

his 5goal effort against the cats a few years back was one of several examples, i think even leigh matthews said it was one of the best individual games he'd ever seen, 34? possies, 5 goals, 10tackles including those 2 infamous goals from the boundary line in 2minutes

Yeah I remember that game. Aker was unstoppable that day.

lmost all of the Richmond side because the rain helps to weaken opponents skill level, while Richmonds can't get much worse:p

But serioulsy, from Richmond I would say:

- Krakouer:
If every Richmond game was played at the G', at nightime, when its pouring down with rain Andrew Krakouer would be a star

- Raines:
When it Rains Raines Reins - C'mon you have too admit that was creative:D:thumbsu:

Brent Harvey is always good in the wet. He won the last E J Whitten medal for BOG in the last state of origin game when it was really wet.

I would agree with that, I remember Harvey tearing the Crows a new one in a game at Footy Park when it was wet a few years back when Aryes was still in charge.

From Melbourne, McLean is a very good wet weather player, and generally Robertson and Yze have been good in the wet as well.

Bartel is very good along with Harvey, I've seen Buckley play very well in the wet as well, but generally all the superstars played well no matter the conditions.

Jason Akermanis was always good in the wet.

See Brisbane vs Geelong at the Gabba in 2005 to support your argument.

Just thinking about those two amazing goals still gives me chills. I may be a Geelong fan, but I'll be damned if I didn't cheer for that second one... LOVED IT!

Yay! People have adopted my sayings into everday society.

I vote Jimmeh Bartel and maybe Gary Ablett Jnr. Not many good evasion players play as good as he does in the wet. They all seem to fall over.
I was going to suggest him
Wsa it a game at Kardinia vs Freo last year he dominated? MB year before? Was possibly the best mudbowl game I've seen in years

Generally shorter guys, whose centre of gravity is lower, do better in the wet; because they can stoop and pick it up quicker, and are more likely to either slip or withstand a tackle while they dish
