Just thought I would look and see what seats are available for tonight (even though I have mine booked in the AFL).

You can get N15 Row D in the Southern Stand now as well as tickets in any of the other stands.

Obviously doesn't encourage people to book tickets early.

Ticketek has been shocking compared to Ticketmaster at the G last year. I know Ticketmaster isn't anything special but Ticketek is abysmal. Although I have heard it could be due a new MCG ticketing policy.

You never know when tickets are going to be released. Ponsford stand is often released a few days before the bloody event. At least last year you knew where you stood and TM announced if it was going to be a fully ticketed event or not pretty early.

I hate the fact that if you want tickets early you are always restricted to bottom leverl stuff. Bloody AFL and its policy of selling the bottom first to make the crowd look bigger

I was checking through all last week and the previous week for tickets but couldn't get anything decent (through AFL) so I decided to stay home for the first time this year since I thought there was going to be 90K+.
I was shocked to see so many empty seats while watching on TV.
Ticketek SUCKS!!!! but the extra charges Ticketmaster have for booking online is purely money making.
They are probably both owned by a petrol company.

No, the empty seats were in the Northern Stand in L1 and L2. I know that AFL members are in the Southern (which was quite full) but it's just annoying that I couldn't even get GA seats anywhere, when there were clearly empty seats.
