I recently got burnt out from Hearts of Iron 4, so I've started a NG+ of Jedi Survivor, but with the purity perk. Makes the game a fair bit harder, but really enjoyable.
Also playing metro exodus, trying for the good ending.

So I’ve finally got back into Mafia 3 last week and finished it earlier today, pretty much feel the same about it. Really liked the story but the racket missions were a chore to get through. Happy that Old Country is going back to the linear gameplay.

finished a fallout 3 playthrough, and now on new vegas. will probably cross 1k hours played on that.

3 more stable but never liked alt-tabbing back to desktop. glad to be done of the games for windows stuff.
several ctd's for new vegas. i love both but vegas is my comfy set of slippers.

actually bought stuff on steam sale for the first time in years... but pick up f:nv for the first time in years. the pile of shame, the pile of shame never changes.

Dark Souls III -

On my current run with the same player on PC, I've gone through EVERY NPC quest line (excluding the "bad' ending phases eg: Yuri) including a few I hadn't done the whole way through in previous playthroughs. Up to the Soul of Cinder boss fight. Once done I'll do a bit more soul/item farming before going AGAIN. It's not recommended and seen as pointless by... EVERYONE but I'm gradually building up my character as an all-rounder. Pumping all soul levels I've earned in this run into INT and FAITH, going to do some spells and maybe a few cheeky cheese methods to alleviate the difficulty of the later NG+ runs (will try and do NG+7 cleanly).

Got ANOTHER controller recently - 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless..... it's just a tiny bit smaller than the Ultimate Bluetooth Wireless controller that I've been using for 2 years..... hope I adjust to it but oh well it will be on a rotation of use regardless.

There was a midweek deal posted on Ozbargain........... I've tinkered with the idea/dream of getting a Steam Deck or ROG Ally for portable gaming (emulation/pc gaming etc)..... the midweek deal was for a cheap Lenovo Legion GO S system. Pounced (I'll gradually collect the others in time... but keep in mind I've wanted a Steamdeck since January but never pulled the trigger) and I have to say after installing everything and finally playing some games... I really love it. It's a bit more of a brick than what I was expecting (think going back to the 1990s era mobile phones vs the pocket size they are today).

But I'm very impressed with how it operates and can't wait to do more with it in the future.

I am very, very keen. Will likely grab it quite soon I'd say
Let me know how you get on with it. I'm interested, but rather than any balanced reviews, all the discussions I see are toxic w***ers complaining about how Wukong is better. Like it's somehow not possible to enjoy two similar games. GoT and AC Shadows had the same issue, but I loved both games.

yeah shocker, gamers being ****wits.

I am pretty sure I'll get it soon, so I'll definitely let you know my thoughts. I hope it's better than Wukong, which was ok, but not all that memorable from my perspective

Just replayed Star Wars KOTOR on my iPad again, cos…. Just cos. Great Star Wars content, easy gameplay, not reflex-based (good for my slow ass fingers).

Utterly destroyed Malak 1:1 to finish, despite being a goodie two-shoes shiny light side guy. Force Speed and Flurry with duel-wield purple lightsabers. You know it makes sense.

I would 100% watch a KOTOR TV series or movie trilogy. Get on it, Disney+

Metro Exodus - Always liked 2033 and been fanging on a more straight forward shooter. This is tickling that itch. Post apocalyptic Far Cry with monsters.

Disco Elysium - Game long on the radar to finish. Loving it. Early days I'm struggling to move the clock forward even though I feel like I've interacted with everyone and done every action I can. I read you can sit on benches but thats not unlocked for me yet. Probably missing something obvious.

Donkey Kong Bananza - Living up to the hype and then some.

Vampyr - Just started this on the steamdeck and enjoying it. A game I was keen on but never played at release.

I'm a little embarrassed to say i bought the repackaged Days Gone for $74 just because I wanted to see how much better it was having just finished the first edition for the second time. I love the game (obviously) so happy to play it again but it's a little disappointing they didn't take the time to fix a few annoying things. Just given it a lick of paint.

I've only heard bad things about that device... Seems to be a real underperformer.

For mine its handled everything that I've thrown at it so far, so I have no complaints as yet.

I don't deny that it's a budget option vs the SD and ROG Ally. But so far it's punching above its weight.. and it's bloody heavy too!!!

Does it handle Dark Souls 3 @60?

Scratch that, apparently even the SD OLED can only manage a consistent 45. Still a ways to go with the handhelds.

You can see good v bad frames per second in many things. My early pc era (GTX 460 Ti-560 Ti) a lot of my games (NBA 2K, GTA V with mixed settings) were running at 40-54 fps and still very playable.

u post on any of the blink websites over the years..182online, blink182online, blink 182 collectors?

with Steam Deck I just don't play games with higher end graphics. even though it's a handheld it still feels shit to play at 30fps or lower. but I have a PC, I guess if I didn't I'd make do on the SD

The discussion earlier has seen me playing Deus Ex. PC original after only ever playing (and finishing) the PS2 version way back in the day.

I also have the other three Deus Ex games in the backlog.

Forgot how good Deus Ex is.

My all-time favourite game is Doom (and pretty much all of id's back catalogue) and Age of Empires 2, but if I was to make a game (that was more than the text-based Cricket Simulator I published on itch.io a few years back :D), I would want it be a Deus Ex type game :D
