When the whole team does crap you cant blame it on individuals like Watson. If anything clarke and voges should be blamed.

When the whole team is shit you can't drop him. When the team is winning you can't drop him because you can't break up a winning combination.

In short, Shane Watson can never be dropped ever.

If he doesnt perform next test I dont give a shit if we won. Go ahead and drop him but based off this test you cannot drop him before voges or clarke.

Voges first, then clarke then watson.
Get ****ed. Voges has played 3 matches and has a ton. Watson has been shit for years.

Why next test and not now?

Watson hasn't had any real form for years. Let's not call it an omission but rather a change in direction.
Fine, im all for dropping the worst performing player in this test. Good bye clarke you overrated hack.

Get stuffed. Voges has played 3 matches and has a ton. Watson has been shit for years.
He got a ton against west indies? What a champion.

Has clarke been the worst performing player this test?
I don't care if he has or hasn't. I want to pick the team who I think will be best positioned to win the 2nd test, not selection based upon how many gold stars a player earned in the 1st test. The 1st test performances are merely more data to consider.

I think marsh should be in the team. I also think watson will make more runs this series then clarke and voges.

Voges 2 innings against said Windies - 167 runs @167 with 1 ton.
Watson 2 innings agaisnt those same Windies - 36 runs @ 18. (what a turnip!)

Voges in first class cricket.

Summer 2014-15 - 1358 runs @ 104.46 6 tons, 7 50's.
Summer 2013-14 - 769 runs @ 54.92 3 tons, 3 50's

Watson in Tests:
2015: 182 @ 30.33 1 score over 30.
2014: 258 @ 25.8 1 50+ score.
2013: 810 @ 35.2 2 tons and 3 50's.

Try and argue Voges first, really try and give it a decent effort this time.

No Haddin has and he too is rightfully in the gun as well.
Clarke threw his wickets away.

How has he gone in england?

Clarke threw his wickets away.

At test level it would be too early to tell at county level The_Reaper would be the guy who'd know but I'd hazard that at the front of the chopping block queue Adam should not be! Nor Clarke. Haddin and Watson simply have to go.

Voges averages about 47 in county cricket.

Was mentioned on the ABC yesterday

Voges did do the complete opposite of what he was selected for though and that does have to be acknowledged.

He was brought in to be the mature head who doesn't throw his wicket away.

He disappointed and Clarke is clearly passed it but they're still better options than Shaun Marsh.

Watson on the other hand has failed for longer and actually has a valid alternative. As does Haddin who needs to be moved on now

Voges has no credit in the bank as he hasn't been around very long. Watson does. It's monopoly money that you can't actually use but it's there alright. A whole pile of it.

My prediction is that Voges will be dropped for Mitch Marsh.

He's the most junior batsman in the team so will be the first to be dropped and they'll go for Mitch because they want an extra bowling option to cover for Johnson going at 4.5 an over.
