Wait, McLean's grandfather apparently won two flags with Carlton, and his uncle played with both Richmond and Carlton, 58 games for 138 goals over ten years!

McLean's Grandfather was also a bare knucle fighting Aus Champion.

haha check this:

The stories of Ricky's VFL playing days are legendary, such as the time he attempted to take on the entire South Melbourne club at the MCG and then offered to carry on matters in the car park afterwards. There were no takers.

For his troubles Ricky copped a 16-week suspension (he missed 30 VFL games courtesy of the tribunal during his career) and retired from the then VFL to captain-coach Ascot Vale, a side that included brothers Garrie and Michael.

Although he wasn't born at the time, Brock appears to love listening to stories about those days as much as he does getting a clearance every 13 minutes, an average that ranks him No. 1 in the AFL in that category.

Here's a pic:

Uncle Rick on the right. Certainly looks like a pretty rough customer.

Those who supported Geelong

Justin Murphy

HUGE IRONY - Wouldnt have picked that he was playing for club he supported.

Nathan Buckley - Melbourne

Didnt really give them much consideration back in 93.

They were a more exciting propositon than the pies at the time.

I dont think the bloke figured out that the premiership players were all about to retire in the next couple of years and the younger blokes hated him for no reason. Melbourne were the far more exciting proposition at the time.
