I actually think I've done this before maybe a few years ago, but what the hell? There seems to be lot of newer poster around these days so I'll ask again.

What's the worst thing that has ever happened to you? The singular moment in time that has made you feel worse than anything else?

That's really horrible DF. I hope your dad's ok, and I hope you're able to get home to see him regardless. I can't imagine how helpless you feel. Good luck.

Having to see your family have to fight for everything that they have worked so hard for over the years, all because of false accusations made by a selfish individual. Still, it all seems insignificant in relation to DonFan's situation. :(

This "individual" wouldn't be a single mother by any chance would she?

Seeing my brother die.

More than 7 years since it happened, but not a day goes by where i don't see that image in my head.

Not in the same league, but being shot at 4 times at the age of 13 isn't a great memory either. Took me two years before i'd go back to school, horribly frightening.

More than 29 years for me seeing that and I can still say I think about it at least 5 days out of 7. It doesn't get much easier.

Not much to look forward to then, Mandy. :(

Sorry to hear about your old man, Mark.

phatandphreaky,

Sorry to hear about your brother dying.

The worst thing that has happened to me was when a well respected teacher that I had got diagnosed with a brain tumour on Boxing Day 1995. He died in January 1999.

Watching my wife go through twelve or so hours of labour to deliver a stillborn baby. We were told that the baby had died prior to having the labour induced. Labour is hard enough to go through as it is, without knowing already what what had happened. Nine years later, I think about it every day.

BTW DonFan, best wishes

I guess it would have to be my uncle dieing in a crash 10 yrs ago....i didn't really know him but he sacrificed himself to save a carload of people

...but the thing was...when it was shown on tv, they only mentioned the survivors...nothing about my heroic uncle

A cousin of mine has got cancer in his bones. He is slowly fading away. He has got two little girls. It is sad for the whole of my Dad's family (who all live near Geelong).

This is'nt anything compared to whats gone before. At my last major job, my boss really had it in for me, and in the end was getting told off just about every day.

Would have to be my Grandma dying in February then being revived and put on life support. Then a few months latter she had a heart attack. Was in hospital for 2 weeks, and she went home even though the nurses didn't want her to. She had a stroke a few days later and was in a comba for almost a week before dying.:(

BTW, best of luck DonFan.

From one traveller to another... sorry to hear about your father.

I've lived a pretty fortunate life, thankfully, but my grandmother passed away a couple of days before I returned from overseas a few months ago. First time I saw my mum again was at her own mother's funeral.

Sbagman.

Best wishes donfan

my grandpa dying on my bday last year, would be one.

i do rescue work, one night we went to a car crash and a drink driver (who the cops had been looking for all day) had been on the wrong side of the road, had a head on with another car, killed one person, hurt another really bad, and 20 or so family members turned up to say goodbye to the one that was dead, it was pretty hard to be there watching kids say goodbye to their dead mother.

Being really ill during my VCE. I suffered from severe migraines and if I wasn't home in bed with all of the sources of light covered, I would be travelling from one specialist to another having countless scans and tests.

They were the loneliest years of my life.

Nothing like what you're going through DonFan. I hope it all works out for the best, my thoughts are with you :(
