I think it's fair enough for families to stay home when heavy rain is expected, especially for night games.

Wifey and kids got home from holidays on Friday, so driving back up to Perth for this game was not really an option.

My point is, if we are fully paid up then who gives a toss what games we attend. The club still get our hard earned in any case.

I am as rusted on as anyone but I didn't go last night. Family members who usually go were crook, so didn't want to, it was pissing down and I don't have under cover seats. Just decided I could not be bothered. My seat is paid for regardless so no biggie for the club.
My enthusiasm level has just dropped at this point, for the first time I actually cant see the point in winning any more games and starting to agree with the tanking is ok crew.
I will be back whatever happens, so not going once doesn't make me the enemy or less of a supporter.

Was that a the Subi end in the midle of the final quarter? I sit on the opposite side but could see there was some action, what started it Gaspode do you know?

I saw it and it was 3 guys(freo fans),2 of which where going mad screaming abuse and where told to not shout abuse and keep in their seats, they settled for a couple of miniutes then started up again, anyway one of them threw his hat on the field and so 2 guards came and told them to go.2 of them got up but 1 thought he would be smart and when the guard went to move him he struggled, hit him(the guard) in the head as well as tried to gouge his eyes and head butt him more than once while he was holding him.Help was slow but I think it was because it was close to the end of the game and what surprised me was a couple of onlookers acused the guard of starting it WTF:confused:the 2 where pissed and where given every chance to stand up and leave and I'm surprised that the guard that he was trying to get didn't smash him in defence.Hope that makes sense

If it wasn't for Suban's goal that would have been the highlight of the night. :o

I think the missing members are also likely to be the ones that leave 5-10 mins into the fourth qtr when we are losing.

Poor Form.

Mate we never leave early been a member since 1995 actually a Quay member as well. we usually go over east once a yr to support the boys. this year we happened to be in melb when we played the saints(say no more) and last week paid our hard earned and was at AAMI V crows.

Out of interest, why was it that you "didn't feel like going"?
Was it because it was at Subi and not at Melb or AAMI?
Was it because it was cold and wet?
Was it because we haven't won for a while?
Was it because we only kicked one goal last week?

Just seems strange that you'd "pay your hard earned" to support "the Boys" and fly to Melb and Adelaide, but "didn't feel like going" last night just up the road?

You're either passionate or you're not? The trueth is hurting a few on this thread, just admit that you were piss weak last night and take it on the chin.

The media will make a big thing about it, opposition supporters will make a big thing about it, and all because "you didn't feel like going"!

Blablablabla.

What we really need as less acquiescent fools like you.

I could see them from a distance and these are the sort of idiots that will give us a bad name. He tried to headbutt the guard about 3 times and his mate who looked like some skinny lil wigga flaying his arms around looked like a tool. Add to that, the second time this year that I have seen a half full bottle land near the umpires as they walk off and we are starting to look feral.

I attended the game on Saturday and very rarely miss games. I have a son that has required 2 operations and he is not 2 yet. I have paid for a seat for him to make sure that we don't miss out when he is older, but he has only ever attended one game. If my wife and I cannot get a baby sitter for him on any given week, we will both stay home with him. For the record, on Saturday, my sister who lives in Mandurah looked after him. I drove down to drop him off which took an hour and then had to set up his travel cot, switch the baby seat to her car etc, etc..... then pick him up the next morning. It was hard work and not something I would do regularly.

We fly interstate every year to see the boys and were at the Gold Coast game earlier this year with a group of about ten.

Scham, you are an idiot. People will make their own decisions about their own lives. You should get on with your own !

Got absolutely drenched, and loved every minute of it.

Being able to see a football game at the highest level (debatable) every fortnight is just ****ing sick dog ass super wild shit YES.

There are plenty of legitimate - and far more important - reasons for not attending. As a member I do attend most games, sometimes however, I have other commitments and it's just not possible and/or practical.

Who cares?

Sitting in the rain was awesome on saturday night and seeing subans goal and those guys getting kicked out was the highlight of the night

Am going to put my two bobs worth in here.
First of all those who stayed away because we only kicked one goal the week before ,PLEASE PLEASE don't return. We don't need so called supporters like you.
Secondly, I am sure the weather did have a lot to do with the lack of a crowd.I admire those who sit out in the wind and rain all year. They are the real supporters of our club.I did it at the WACA and for a season at Subi.Am fortunate enough,to now be able to afford under cover seating.
But I think one of the reasons have not been canvassed here,is the TOTAL CRAP,public transport system.
How many stayed away from the game because they did not want to stand in the rain for an hour after the game waiting for a train!!!!
I usually travel by train, but was not going to wait in the wind, cold and rain, for an hour for a train.
Lets remember that in 30 yrs time when we get our new 60,000 seat stadium that we will still be waiting in queues for an hour for the train. And it will still be uncovered.Good old WA.Wonder when we will get into the 20th century.

Sounds like Mundy could learn a thing or two from these blokes

Nope plenty of those turned up!

As for the public transport issue, you are spot on, although i dont think that'd be a huge factor in me not going. That said im glad i decded to hit up subi after the game with some mates as opposed to standing at the West Leedy watching 4 trains go past before one finally stops!
