Was going to post this in the discussion but probably worth it's own thread

It seems the thing that's keeping WWE business okay at the moment is the TV deals and the Wrestlemania windfall.

How sustainable is the current Wrestlemania format?

You can say the part timer Wrestlemania started at either 27 or 28. So 5 years into it, how much longer can it last?

It's clear the internet is sick of wheeling out Stone Cold/Rock/part timers every year but is the reality that a travelling Wrestlemania crowd will always pop for those type of returning stars?

You'd think Triple H will consistently be in one of the main events for the next 5-10 years. Reigns probably as well. It'll be interesting to see how long Brock sticks around for. Will people enjoy seeing a returning part-time Cena? It seems like that's the way he's going.

Will Triple H and Stephanie change anything Wrestlemania related when they take over? They seem pretty committed to the Fan Axxess and really making a weekend of it. So if this is their vision, will any of it change?

as long as they can keep getting the tourists to come, I don't see any changes for running large stadiums.
you could trial a 2 night WM, rather than having a long-ass 7 hour show, maybe cut it in 2x 3.5 hour shows. But that would depend of them having 2 decent main events to cover both nights, and that would screw around with the NXT Takeover and Hall of Fame shows (and the other independent shows).

NXT on Thursday and HoF on Friday

But I dont see them doing the 2 nights things. Why is it so hard to just have a 3 hour show (+1 hour pre show)?

It's going to be up against it. Roman Reigns in the main event or a headline match for the next 10+ years is a s**t base to build a good show on. They will keep wheeling out part-timers because Vince is obsessed with not making new big stars.

This will produce diminishing returns as the pre-PG stars get ever older. Undertaker looks more like Mike from Better Call Saul than a wrestler. Steve Austin is never wrestling again so him pouring beer on his shirt while giving the fingerless salute is only going to be less amusing. Triple H is past it as a 47-year-old: No way do I want to see him at 57. Jericho is a fat campaigner. You might pay to see these guys once more but only the most horrible nerds will go to WrestleMania every year to see them.

Charlotte Flair is on the fast track for Hall of Fame status because she's her father's daughter so she'll be in women's championship matches for the next decade unless she becomes a druggo and leaves.

Will people enjoy seeing a returning part-time Cena? It seems like that's the way he's going.

He's already a part-timer. Will never work a full year again.

Will Triple H and Stephanie change anything Wrestlemania related when they take over?

Hopefully they overhaul the entire WWE not just WrestleMania!
