What's a Collingwood Conspiracy That You Believe To Be True?

Just in case you're not kidding, that was the infamous Ginnivan/Redman incident, and Jack certainly didn't get a free kick for it!:

Wow, wasn’t kidding. No way that standard of adjudicating will or can continue. The image of original post, I really couldn’t believe it couldn’t result in free ie arm locked around neck on the ground

Looking back there were two frees there anyway.

Even if he wasn’t paid for the stupid dropping the knees interpretation, Redman went on and continued with the choker hold. in a second action.

Zones, both suburban and country, were introduced to "share success around", that is to say to take flags off Collingwood and give them to weaker clubs.

Yeah, it shared success around to Carlton and Hawthorn.
Carlton- Bendigo. Collingwood- The far west of Victoria.
Hawthorn- All the eastern suburbs private schools and Frankston. Collingwood- A small part of the Northern suburbs.

I don't mean to have a go but you really need to get your priorities right. Apart from having a few personal goals surely a premiership eclipses some players getting it on by a factor of several thousand?

Just a figure of speech, it’s not that deep. I would love a Copeland hand-holding moment though for sure 🤗

As for personal goals…. ugh. Make it through Christmas?

Ahh I see. Appreciate your xmas goal, I have that every year. Also would love to see a pies couple or just any AFL footballer to come out. Its a sad inditement on our male society that none have yet felt comfortable too.

Agree, any would be great! I think it’s still a fair way off though unfortunately.

I’ve heard some absolutely vile comments being screamed at DM30 by opposition fans at games based on rumours alone. I completely understand why no one has come out yet. I wouldn’t.

Interchange cap
Yes there were several rule changes when Malthouse was in charge and we owned Sydney.

We used a possession game to beat their ugly flood and they changed the rule to 7 seconds instead of 30 to dispose after a mark, we countered it again with rapid interchange and they capped the interchange.

No problem the lovechildren winning by cheating (eg Barry Hall bashing guys, Swans beating North with 19 blokes), but win fairly against Sydney? Better change those rules.

The treatment of Goodes was horrendous and white supremacists are less frequent than homophobes. Until the AFL efficiently deals with fans, no player is going to feel safe coming out. And then they will always carry the tag of being gay.

There's a lot more to Beam's story that what you guys think. It wasn't all his fault, and this is not from him its from his manager who has no reason to lie nowdays.
Why don't you straighten it out for us? Because at this stage almost everyone is of the opinion that Beams did the club dirty.

Many years ago when I walked with a spring and could see my nether regions I sat in Bay 13 to watch the windies play australia in a one day game. Mollie Meldrum walked down and someone started a chant that ended up having everyone stand up and finger point at Meldrum chanting Mollies a NTTAWWTter. A few minutes later some police escorted Mollie safely out of Bay 13. It seemed funny at the time but on reflection horrible and no doubt Mollie felt threatened and abused.
The funny thing is I suspect the majority of the very drunk bay 13 (full strength back then) grew up to Mollie, loved him then and still do now. I remember a crowd chant at the MCG of tazza's a sniffer during a Freo Pies final but we welcomed him back with open arms. Whilst there are always exceptions I don't think in general the crowd treatment in these cases was heartfelt. I am not excusing it but I do think its carried away mob mentality and a joke rather than true antagonism. If a player came out next year and the media dealt with it well I can see them being cheered by the majority just as easily as being derided.

This happens 100% and it shits me. Daniel Wells is a clear example.
Its been going on for ever. My uneducated view is that Wells was a good inclusion into the employee group. I would have thought in this day and age a transparent employment process would have been mandatory for an AFL club both for self protection and to please the AFL.

Daniel Wells wanted to finish his career with North Melbourne, however they were offering two years at the end of 2016. We offered him three on good coin, and that's why he came here. He had no intentions of joining Collingwood beyond capitalising on an offer that was too good to refuse. Two years gone and we're approaching 2019 and, per sources such as this, apparently he forwent as much as $450,000 out of the kindness of his heart to ease salary cap pressures and help the club. Pardon my french but that is BS. He would never have left North if he didn't want the money.

Bada bing, bada boom Wells retires after 2019 and is immediately appointed in an off-field role that seems incredibly light in terms of a tangible work load.

How the club got away with this is extraordinary. It's as close to salary cap rorting as you can get without using brown paper bags

Richard Hadlee liked to masturbate too, apparently.

I would certainly hope that anyone who came out would be well-supported by their own club’s supporters.

I’m really going by the things I’ve heard screamed at DM30 by opposition supporters (which he’d have absolutely heard from the goal posts), for the entirety of a match. I had a go at them a number of times to no avail, and texted the crowd behaviour response line a few times, also to no avail.

Like I said, these were absolutely vile, homophobic slurs, only towards Darcy, who has never said he’s gay, but for whatever reason is rumored to be. I’d absolutely love for someone to be confident enough to come out, but after seeing that, I wouldn’t advise doing it - which is incredibly sad.
