Melbourne ...HELLO i mean how easy?
i was talking with my god son the other day after he returned home from a trip to melbourne. he is a melbourne fan, and while he was over there, the guys were on their break (during the split round) anyhoo, they were in country victoria, i cant remember where exactly cos i wasnt listening UNTIL he said he met his idol........which was none other than David Schwarz. Now for a 4 year old that is pretty huge, (in every possible sense of the word). according to his mum, he ran up to Schwarta and screamed out his name from a mile away, and upon getting a photo with Daivd and a signature he had the hugest smile on his face for the next week or so. i mean come on the guy just met his idol. This leads me to the question............"When have u been star struck?" i dont mean just footballers either, i mean when have u seen someone who u have adored and idolised for so long. and when u finally got the chance to meet them u just froze?

I've never really been one to idolise people (most people on bigfooty would think I idolise myself  ) but seriously, I was pretty chuffed when I had a photo taken with Sheeds in the early 90s.

Apart from that, I get star struck when I see one of dee_girl's posts. I usually get into a cold sweat and my heart beats quickly. Still don't know why.

You ****head Dan:D

When I met Sir Donald Bradman will always be a special moment for me.
Another special time was meeting Clarrie Grimmett's son, and being allowed to view some of the great bowlers momentos, all lovingly cared for by his son

Robert Groeneweagan signed me an autograph at the Footscray Mall in 1982!!!!! Still got it.

Once played golf with the gloved one himself, former Demon and Bulldog Tony Campbell. Beat me by the lazy 49 strokes.

Had dinner with Men At Work bass player John Rees - a wonderfully modest bloke who didn't want to show me his gold records. But I did snuck a peak - a cherished evening.

Good Topic Nicki.....

Well I was starstruck the first time I met Robbo (well second time, the first time i just fell in love :D), I went into a state of complete shock and i was shaking, i don't think i ever had a bigger smile on my face than when he asked me if i wanted a picture..... ohhhh!
Anyways yeah thats my little story, i don't act like that anymore around him, yet he still runs everytime he sees me.... i don't know why! :D

GO DEES! :)

LOL

ok, only those of you that go to my school would have known about this (OR)...
shane woewodin has always been my fave melbourne player (since he started playing in 2997) and i had mat other players, but for some reason, something always happened, and i never got a chance to meet shane woewodin. as many of you would know about, the boys run a program called 'here for life', and they came to my school...
the teacher orgonising it knew how much i loved shane woewodin, so a week before they came, he told me about it, and made me promise that i wouldn't tell any one. so i didn't. on the morning of the day that they were gonna come, he came into our class room and said 'you will be missing out on periods 4 & 5, because 3 melbourne players will be here to talm to you.' (oh, how my heart fluttered!)
those periods were the ones right after recess, and during recess, some people (or, feygi and sarah) came RUNNING to me going 'MISH THEY'RE HERE!!! OMG, THEY ARE HERE! COME AND SEE THEM! THEY ARE SOOOOO HOT!!!!!!!'
i followed them to where woey, yze and robbo were...
i walked in the room, and the moment i saw shane woewodin, i just started hyporventalating! i almost fainted because of it, but the sight of him, standing there in my class room, right infront of me was sssoooooo AMAZING!!!
after all the tables were moved, jason (the teacher who orgonised it) kicked every one out the room exept me, and he introduced me them.
although most people would say 'how can that get you so amazed by that???' thats was still, one of the most amazing days i've had! since then, i've met and spoken to shane woewodin 12 times (13 this week end! :D:p :) )

but apart from that, when me and or met the boys (woey, robbo, farmer, greeny, simonns & browney) at the jam factory, that was pretty cool! ;)

GO DEES!!!

the first time i met Joffa i was shakin in my boots. :D LOL no i wasnt, i was pissing myself laughing cos he was making a complete idiot out of himself. :p :)

as for me, the time i have been starstruck, were - at the melbourne team of the century last year, when i got to meet Robbie Flower, AND Ron Barassi. two of the greatest legends of the club.

BUT the most terrifying moment for me was, about geez must be 7 years ago now when the one and only MICHAEL JORDAN was in melbourne, and i got to meet him cos he rocked up to a basketball camp that i was attending at the Victorian institute of sport. (and to think i almost talked my mum and dad out of sending me over to melbourne for it.) My god i have never been so lost for words in my life.

I now officially hate you!!! I shall never reply to any of your posts ever again, you and i are not friends. :(

Ok heres a bigger name though, when my parents were young and in England (they were born and grew up there) they were walking down a street cant remember the name of it, and they walked straight past George Harrison and Ringo Starr!!!! By the time they realized and turned around they had quickly disappeared into Apple studios!!

Didnt actually meet them but there you have it.

Umm, well every week when I go to Lions training.
Still get starstruck when I talk to my boy Beau McDonald.

I'm gettting better, I use to stand there with my mouth open catching flies.
Now at least I can say a few words to him.

Can't help if I'm extremely shy.

Oh, and Alastair Lynch, he's such a legend, have trouble talking to a man with such greatness.

GO BEAU AND LYNCHY YOU CUTIES
