Problem is West Coast’s draw allows them to bounce back anyway. They can afford to sit back a little.
Collingwood has GWS next week, then Richmond.
Eagles has Melbourne.. then North, and Carlton the week after. Almost certainly will be 2nd in three weeks time anyway

No-one travels as well as them interstate. My own club can fluke a win ( when the heat is on, backs to the wall type win) when interstate, but this is a rarity. We are generally rubbish interstate.Collingwood do it consistently, year in year out.

Write off the Pies at your own peral, I think it is simply game plan more than effort. Yes they have injuries and that has to be taken into account but it’s how they are moving the ball that is letting them down.
They are very stagnant, to slow to move it, not prepared to take the game on and all this is leading to is the opposition being able to make many one on ones against them.
They refuse to come through the corridor unless it’s a 100% pathway. Their work rate and effort is good but it’s like watching a Ross Lyon coached side who all they are about is stopping the opponent scoring and they have forgotten about scoring themselves.
Can be a quick fix and I am expecting a ferocious Pies next Friday in Perth.

We travel the same as you.
We obviously don’t sell one off games interstate like some others do and we don’t schedule interstate home games like Hawthorn & North do.
We certainly don’t look to play games overseas!
We play our correct number and unlike others we have chosen not to to add any more.
Just as well, as we are brilliant outside of Victoria.
Clubs CHOOSE to play in Shanghai, Alice Springs, Darwin, Townsville, Launceston, Hobart & Ballarat.
