Part 2 of this thread is here:

Do you even watch the finals? I'd suggest winning 3 finals in a row to make a GF is pretty epic given only 2 sides have done it this century. Carlton have had more 1st round picks than anyone and can't even make the top 14

I should be asking you the same question? You clearly can't identify what constitutes an 'epic finals run' which admittedly isn't unusual for most Giants supporters. Any token appearance is epic when you've crossed over from supporting St George Illawarra.

Carlton hasn't had close to the number of 1st round picks the Giants have over the past decade, but keeping digging.

Hopefully for your sake the Giants have some more 'epic finals runs' soon otherwise the game might lose you to lacrosse.

Well let's recap since you didn't watch the finals that year:

1. Thrashing of highly fancied Bulldogs in Elim

2. Cliffhanger away win v Bris putting them out in straight sets

3. Monstrous win v Collingwood in front of 77000 frothing bogans at MCG

How is all that not epic?

Just can't relate can you, it's been that long since you've been relevant, year 2000 in fact

Every team gets 1 first round pick each year.

The things that change this:
-You could trade out existing players for more first round picks, which is fair enough (e.g. GWS)
-You could trade out your first round picks for established talent (e.g. Hawthorn)
-You could get bonus picks due to BS free agency comp (e.g. Essendon*)
-You could get priority picks due to AFL shenanigans (e.g. GCS)

You don't get extra first round picks for missing finals. Just higher picks. Get educated.

You missed the amazing performance in the Grand Final that year! 90 points off and a towelled up by a player on debut. Pretty stock standard finals memories otherwise.

Glad you enjoyed it while it lasted.

There have been 19 priority picks since 1997 with Carlton and Melb having the most at 3 each, get educated

Carlton did get priority picks in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

At least we were there while your boys were in some crap bar overseas

No different from Collingwood 1980, Essendon 1983, Melb 1988, they all got smashed too after winning 3 finals

GWS finals wins in 2019 - 3
Carlton finals win since 2002 - 2

You continually edit quotes but get salty when you receive similar? Weird.

Nah. I pick lines and quote them exactly as you write them. Much higher quality trolling.

Time to move on from this thread.

Probably best for your own wellbeing, you tried to troll about Essendon whilst being completely oblivious that Carlton are the disappointments to their supporters here.

Bonus points for misrepresenting the size of the win, the number of actual best-22 players out, or that it somehow did anything to make Carlton look good here.

Feeling a bit touchy after that brave loss to the Bulldogs perhaps?
