its pretty ridiculous that adelaide are stream rolling through the center unmanned everytime. go forward and hit men inside, UNMANNED.

collingwood get the ball and go forward and what..... umm nothing!!!!! NOT A BLOKE IN SIGHT!!

and when theres a contest three collingwood blokes go for the mark, and no one on the ground!!

this is the worst brand of football to play and wont win a grand final!!

how bout play one on one, and make them chase us.. this is ridiculous!!!

3rd

we olayed poorly through most of that match, had me blasting my tv with expletives yet we beat a good side and we are 3rd

Go you pies

And that's about it......................................

Welcome to the board and come on to see how a great side celebrates any time you like.

Your blokes were awesome today and we know we have a lot to aim for....

We will be there though, unlike about 12 other sides.....:D:D:D:D

Well said, and thank-you.

The ability to stick to the game plan for 4 qtrs was very positive tonight.

It was not free-flowing like previous weeks, yet the players still carried out the instructions and adjusted to the opposition on foreign soil and won the game.

Credit to the coaching staff and the players.

And that's about it......................................
Assuming we maintain our position in the top four, which is extremely likely, the ledger for all top four teams is square come the first week of the finals. That's the great thing about our game. And then we'll see how the Saints go away from Etihad...

Jesus! Which Adelaide-Pies game were you guys watching? We played terribly for much of the game. We won because we got the most crucial things right, Swan to the backline for example, and because Wood really stood up, and most of all because they played even worse. AND they had Bock out and Burton went down early. I've been a big fan for Dick but those three misses were just appalling. Even some usually-ultra-reliables like Maxy and Tarks coughed it up unneccessarily. Of course it's great to be third, and we'll probably keep it, and there were moments of sheer brilliance as always, of course, most especially Maxi's left-hand punch followed up by strong running and kicking, but if the Saints or Cats come out all guns blazing and we come out with a repeat of last night it will be a 50-100 point loss at a canter.

FuManchu, is that you in disguise? Thought you'd been quiet lately.

Just because a game isnt pretty doesnt mean your team is playing poorly. We took on a top four rival on their turf and wore them down. It was a fantastic win.

Precisely. The point is, despite Adelaide's pressure, we found a way around them. When I saw how their defenders could leap up and snatch the ball, I thought we were gone. But we regrouped again and again, and persisted. This is a different team from the Collingwood that sometimes "didn't show up". This is team with self-belief.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Looking very dangerous for September.:)

Of course if the was any pressure in this game, either perceived or actual, then you may be able to forgive some of the errors.

Go Pies:thumbsu:

I'm shocked we actually ran away with it considering we played Adelaide's style and weren't doing well in clearances, but somehow we just found a way to put it on when we needed.

I just get the feeling MM is coaching to keep the first halves tight and then likes to steam roll in the second half when our rotations kick in.

In the first half it seems like our forwards always play too high and help restict the scoring but after half time they camp themselves back in the 50m and we convert. I dunno, it's just a pretty obvious pattern that's emerging.
