I watch the ants alot and chris bryan has had a great year.

I cant believe this guy isnt playing in the ones.

He kicks the ball a mile, takes a good contested mark,can kick
goals and is versatile.

and we have barnaby bee french who cant do any of the above.

It's a shame that Denis doesn't rate him...I think he could have a future in the AFL, but his best position is clearly still in doubt.

I have seen him many times and I thin he could really add something to the Carlton Football Club.

I think that he will be included in the side this week for the game vs the Kangaroos. We need to see what he could possibly give us before the end of the year, when some big calls will be made regarding the futures of some of our players.

I can't understand this it's a travesty of footy Bryan isn't getting a seniors game, especially when you have shleppers who can't even kick in the side like Livo, Prenda and Bannister.

It's very simple why Bryan doesn't get a game........you guys are mesmerised by his kicking and overlook the fact that he is probably the laziest player on our list.

Watch the replay tonight on ABC2..........lazy, lazy lazy, but when he kicks the ball he looks great and everyone gets sucked in and overlooks his laziness.

He is 24 years old and doesn't dominate week in week out at VFL level..........no way has he deserved/earnt a game at AFL level this season.

Stop being so narrow minded. The guy is useless with his efforts and attack on the footy. Plain lazy!! He has hardly dominated any games at VFL level either.

Im not questioning that he does have some ability (not in truck loads) but some, however he needs to pull his head out his arse and start giving 100%.

He's no good. If he can't get a regular game in the worst AFL side as a 24 year old, then he might as well be shipped off. If he deserved a game he'd get one, simple as that.

I agree with the last few posts. I haven't seen this year, but if as I have read, he is lazy and doesn't earn his spot, do not put him in.
People must earn there spot in the 1's, it shouldn't be given because you can kick the ball a long way.

From what I saw of Bryan, he never seemed to show much at AFL level. He was undersized as a ruckman, and not especially quick or athletic - so from a rucking point of view, he was only good to change the angles coming at the opposition for a few center bounces a game. Any longer, he'd get torn to shreds. As a key forward, he didn't get himself into the play or attack the ball especially well - he could kick a mile, but not very accurately, and he was too slow and defenders could run off him too easily. We've got a decent forward setup, with Fevola, Waite, Kennedy, Betts etc. At least DeLuca poses matchup problems when he plays because of his height, Prendagast attacks the ball well, and Livingstone has some talent (if arguably not enough).

ROTFLMFAO! *wiping tears out of my eyes* Doesn't seem to have caused any problems this year. I believe he might cause matchup problems against short people.
