Where will Warnock end up?

Icke has contacted Warnock's manager already. It'll be between the Blues and Dees - I'm tipping the Dees at this stage, because they have the #1 PSD pick, which takes any uncertainty out of the deal. Warnock will however be worried about the likely collapse/relocation of the Melbourne Football Club over the next few years, plus the prospect of being part of a brilliant young Carlton side premiership-bound, may be enough for him to go the difficult path and try to get to Carlton. :)

freo will be looking for the best possible price then can get for him, and i wouldnt think they would want him to go for nothing!!

so i think carlton to offer pick 24 and i mean and maybe a player!!
depends!!
would love him there!!

Can't see just pick 24 doing it. If that happened, The Dees would definitely outbid us. Swann and Icke have done some amazing deals before though. :)

Parrot. Question. How do you see Carlton's ruck division playing out in 2011?

If you were to obtain Warnock would he play alongside Kruezer and Hampson?

Wouldn't mind us picking him up, but Melbourne is the most likely choice.

Pick 19(Is it?) in a direct swap for Warnock, solves Melbournes ruck problems, and he gets to play along side his brother, while Freo get an above player value deal inside the Top 20 to use on another ruckman if they so choose, the optimum trade for both sides.

Firstly Warnock hasn't achieved that much, and there is always a tendency to overhype players in thetrade period. He still has a lot to prove, but he does have some ability. Height is not everything. IF the Blues got him he'll play alongside Hampson as our main rucks. Kruezer would play KP forward, tall utility, wing, and occasional ruck. Warnock may be useful, but is not essential. Obviously everyone wants to be part of this talented young Carlton side though. It would however be much easier for him to get to the Dees than the Blues. :)

If Warnock nominates the Dees, they can give Freo nothing if they choose, as he could go into the PSD. A 30-40 pick would do. The Tiges were in the same situation with McMahon last year. I'm still amazed that Miller gave up a low second round pick for McMahon, when he could have got him for zip if you really wanted him because you had the first PSD pick. An unbelievable Miller stuffup. :)

saints could do a lot worse than go after warnock, but i thin if the dees dont snap him up then the blues will

While he keeps his options open, he is favourite to go to Melbourne. Melbourne will be able to offer Fremantle the higher draft choice at #19, whereas Carlton have #24 and won't offer their first-round pick.

However if VISY put forward an offer to Warnock which outweighs his loyalty to Freo, his brother and allegedly Chris Connolly, which is a possibility; he could nominate VISY as his preferred destination and they would be odds-on to get him in that case.

Nothing wrong with using our financial muscle to push other Clubs around BTW. That's just how it is. The main factor though, where will be where he wants to play. Like the Judd deal, everyone was offering the same money, but Judd quite sensibly viewed the Blues as having the most talented and promising young list in the AFL. The Blues impressive list, flag-oriented-success-culture and brilliant off-field turn around are the main draw-cards. Our financial powerhouse status is just icing on the cake. :)

Just goes to show that even champion players sometimes misread things.

lol, are you performing at the next comedy festival.

I have to get tickets, if there is any left.

we would probably give a first rounder for him... too bad we're not in the contest :(

carlton will chase hard for him

melbourne will be his desired target probably

Melbourne I reckon, though if Carlton can strike a satisfactory deal with Fremantle then perhaps the Blues.

You see though unlike Carlton other teams don't go out with deliberate attempts to screw teams over and cheat the system, Pick 19 will be traded for Warnock and it will be win-win for both teams and all will be happy, you see what screwing another team out of a pick or player does is it enrages the team your dealing with, therefore making it stick in the memories and they either won't deal with them in future or will screw them back, it won't all be roses next time.

Ok, umm, why bring McMahon and Miller into this? We got McMahon and managed to pick up an amazingly talented boy in David Gourdis(Who is 3 years younger than Pfieffer.):)

I have a feeling he might up in our squad...
What about Cam Wood, you gave up Pick 14 for him last year, surely you wouldn't be giving up another 1st or 2nd rounder for a ruckman again(Especially with Josh Fraser having a while left in the game)?
