I don't think you're right here. Some people tend to subconsciously go easier when playing against friends. I think danger is one of these people.

I am looking forward to playing Fremantle in round 21. It's a shame that it's an away game on a Sunday afternoon but we could well be coming off 7 straight wins and really building towards the finals with that game being the first opportunity since the bye to really test ourselves.

Had a thought after watching that of what could be done in the post-round 23 bye in terms of TV.

• Friday Night - replay the best Friday night game of the year
  • the two teams in this game don't get shown again
• Saturday Night - replay the best Saturday game of the year
  • the two teams in this game don't get shown again
• Thursday Night - replay the best Thursday night game of the year
  • the two teams in this game don't get shown again
• Sunday arvo - replay the best game of the rest from the remaining teams

So 4 great replays featuring 8 different teams - I'd watch

Would be easy to do - setup a poll to vote for the best games of the season, then just line em up in order - choose the Friday game, remove the games that feature these teams from the list - choose the Saturday game etc...

Could you imagine the "mentalness" of a three team battle AFL. A circular playing field with 3 goals. 3 sets of 18 players Adelaide v Sydney v Geelong. 6 games played a week. Probably be a long season to get through all combinations of teams but what a crazy game it would be.

I would love to see a team sport played on a triangular field with three teams.

Have thought about this myself, but always comeback to the thought that it would just be scrums
